Og Kassian Doe
Here is Mike Gillis' trade record: 2nd and 3rd rounder for Steve Bernier Lukas Krajicek for Shane O'Brien Patrick White and Daniel Rahimi for Brad Lukowich and Christian Ehrhoff (good trade, but Ehrhoff is no longer with the team and Gillis has failed to find an effective replacement) Michael Grabner, Steve Bernier, and Vancouver's first round pick in 2010 for Keith Ballard and Victor Oreskovich. Neither made an impact, and are both no longer with the team. Ballard was bought out. Maxim Lapierre for Joel Perrault and a third round pick in 2012. (Good trade) Chris Higgins for a third round pick and Evan Oberg. (Good trade) Mikael Samuelsson and Marco Sturm for David Booth, Steven Reinprecht and a third round pick in 2013. (Looked good, but Booth has turned out to be a major disappointment) Cody Hodgson and Alexander Sulzer for Zack Kassian and Marc-Andre Gragnani. Taylor Ellington and two 4th round picks in 2012 for Samuel Pahlsson Kevin Connauton and a 2nd round pick in 2013 for Derek Roy (Good trade, but Roy was not resigned in the off season) Cory Schneider for the 9th selection in the 2013 draft. Roberto Luongo for Jakob Markstrom and Shawn Matthias I know I left out the minor deals, but you get the idea. Out of these 12 trades, only 4 have been good ones. Also, if he were to be fired in the upcoming off season, who would replace him?

bucsfan
go to the Fire Mike Gillis facebook page fellow fans and add your comments there as well! Sooner he's gone the better> Tort's needs more time and is good with blending in younger kids like he had in New York and Tampa. Too soon to call him out, I think he can get it done here in time. Need to bring up all our picks next year ready or not and throw them to the wolves!
