MLT
I love Kes and obviously don't want to see him in pain or injured. BUT I must say, if it means he isn't traded in the off season than I am glad he's injured. If we are truly starting a retool I would rather see a team built around him than the Sedins at this point in their careers.
DeNiro
If we're only keeping because we can't trade him, that's not a very good reason. I'm sure if they really wanted to trade him, they could do it early next season. But I agree, I really don't wanna see him go. We don't have another player that can play the tough minutes he does. zapperman
Yep, I'm glad but for different reasons. Hopefully the cancer is out for awhile, then watch us start to relax and win again. Then get healthy in time to trade him by the draft. Knowing him and his diving and whining antics, he's probably faking and bailing on the team for the season. Doesn't have to play well anymore to facilitate his trade now that the deadline has passed, so why bother.

A Lack of Eddie
"Tanking" should be easier now.. Hopefully it'll be a Minor injury out 3-5 games

Ignore the fact that his teammates are all crab handed idiots that can't catch a pass. Ignore the fact that our supposed top 2 defencemen can't skate or keep up with any inside or outside cuts. Ignore the fact that our top offensive line has combined for 1 goal this year leading into today's game. Kesler is damn tired of seeing his passes sail clean over his teammates' tape or these plugs lose the puck down low. If he doesn't hog, we will have NOTHING. He is the only guy that looks like a hockey player on this team.

Green Building
Jesus Christ! I may be disgruntled over the way this atrocious season has played itself out, but man you are an ass for being "glad" that one of the best players to ever wear the Canucks jersey is hurt. Unbelievable.

zapperman
Booth method - yeah that's a good one. And no, I don't rejoice in people being hurt, but we will do better without him. Seems as if people don't realize he has the second worst +/- on the team (-13), behind only Edler. And a distant 5th for points per time on ice. Really not anywhere near the impact player he was 4 years ago.

Really not anywhere near the impact player he was 4 years ago. Maybe because he plays the most minutes and we suck. More TOI does not translate to more points for most, especially not in the higher numbers. Otherwise top players would just never leave the ice. Up until Burrows netting 2 today, he was tied with our entire 1st line in goals.
