Connauton
Did a search, but every thread had been archived. Anyone have experience buying Canucks tickets via craigslist? What do you look for to authenticate the ticket? Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I plan on buying tickets for one of the last few home games. nux4lyfe
There's always a risk with craigslist, but if you're picking it up from their house, I don't see the problem.
DonLever
Why don't you buy from stubhub instead? There are more than 400 tickets available. Tons of them for $50 each for the Nashville game on Wednesday. If you wait until game day you could probably get them for $20.
Offensive Threat
When you drop out of the playoff race prices drop like a stone. I have bought from Craigslist once. Met the guy and did the deal at a skytrain station. No problems. I like buying from Ebay or stubhub where you can use paypal or credit card and just print out the ticket. Have had no problems buying from scalpers on the street too. Just act like you know what you are doing if anything is face to face.

I've never been to a Canucks games before due to them being out of my price range, but now is my time!
euphoria/
If it's from a season ticket holder, ask to see their pass/holder card.If it's from anybody else ask to see id and mark down their drivers licence number.
Grapefruits
I've never bought Canucks tickets off of Craigslist, but i have bought concert tickets. If you can, try to meet them where they work or at their house. If not, ask to see picture ID and a receipt that they purchased the tickets. I've never had issues buying off of Craigslist. I've also used Stubhub without issue as well. I do like Stubhub as they guarantee your tickets. I bought McCartnety tickets from them for Safeco. The courier company lost my tickets. Stubhub solved the issue very fast and I walked away with better tickets than what I originally ordered for the same price.
inane
I'm a season ticket holder and often sell on craigslist. Sometimes at skytrain, gas stations, wherever. Never been questioned. Although prices are rock bottom now. If you're planning on going, go now. Unless of course you want good hockey.... Then you might have to wait. PlayStation
When i bought them, guy met at Rogers Arena, front counter confirmed he was a season ticket holder, and got his license # in case. Even searched up the seats on google before hand and found his eBay listing with the same seats and good feedback.
Apple Juice
Normally I don't ask for their season ticket holder or whatever or their ID. When I look at the tickets and feel them, I know right away that it's authentic. Most of the time though, the ticket will have a group name on it, in my case anyways, so I don't have to ask for anything. Just feel the ticket a little bit and you'll know right away. Dogbyte
Just make sure you talk to them for a while and get a feel for why they are giving up the tickets, etc. If you keep anyone in front of you for 5 minutes you can usually tell if they are legit. It might make you feel a little stupid and petty but it's worth it in the long run and the seller will generally understand. I've bought many tickets of the internet. And like others mentioned ask to see a piece of ID. If they show it to you they are almost assuredly legit. Otherwise they will take off. Steen
I've done it a few times without issue.
