Swedish elite3
So first post on here... May as well make it a Proposal see how bad I am in all your eyes.. Van gets: Brett Connelly and a 3rd rd pick '14 Tampa gets: Jordan Shroeder and Jannik Hansen I love Hansen but I believe his time has run its course in Vancouver and is one of the few players we have without a NTC or NMC.. Flame away haha

Swedish elite3
No Sorrry Hansen is one of those players we need for the future Connolly is 7 years younger and might actually score on a breakaway
I.Am.Ironman
I think Shamu was being sarcasticEDIT: As far as the proposal goes I like it.. Although I don't see Stevie Y accepting it
Angry Goose
Connelly is a risk, and I agree Hansen's time in VAN may have come to an end. Canucks need a bit more firepower whereas Hansen is a solid 2 way player.
canucks155
Fair trade. No problems. Why not? TBL could use a good center of the future along w/ a speedy 2 way fwd. Connelly hasn't panned out there and the 3rd is there to sweteen the pot. Good trade for both teams.
DrChill
rather trade Schroeder and a pick, Keep Hansen. Mathias Higgins and Hansen is the third line we should have for years!
thad
I like it. Not sure they're ready to give up on Brett though. This trade frees us up a bit on the right wing for kids to develop. Hansen is a beauty but here's another offensive kid who should be close to making the jump. Kassian is coming along nicely but he really can't be rushed. He needs that third line RW spot for a couple seasons to develop into the player we think he can be. If we inject any skill players into the top six it pushes Hansen to the third, Kass to the 4th and we ruin him. Sedin sedin Jensen Burrows Kesler Connolly Higgins Horvat Kassian Sestito Matthias Richardson
Easton76
If we're trading Hansen I would rather package him with Kesler to get a bigger return. For Connolly, I'd be okay with Schroeder and a 3rd.
silver_surfer
Wouldn't be surprised to see TB trade Johnson or Palat while their values are high. Stevie Y has been pretty sharp tradewise, Gillis could take a lesson or two. That Bishop trade was an absolute robbery. Time will tell (conditions) but I think he did very well on the St. Louis trade too. Connolly would be a great pick up, but I think he could be stolen with an offer sheet. elvis15
More risk than I'd want to convince me to move Hansen. I think he's a very good player but also moveable prior to his new contract kicking in, I just would want more than Connolly as he's been unable to crack the Tampa line up still even in Stamkos' extended absence. Guys like Panik, Kucherov and Brown have all seen time on the right wing in the NHL this year ahead of Connolly, and Palat, Johnson and Killorn have seen time on left wing and center as young players as well. Kucherov and Palat were both drafted the year after Connolly, and now Drouin and Namestnikov are newer prospects with potential to keep him from earning a spot. I think there's still a possible NHL player who can help us there, but it'd have to be for the right price.
