Mikael Samuelsson
I guess Edler, Tanev, Schroeder and a 1st is the new version of Raymond, Ballard and a 1st. Can't see it happening, man.
PredsFanFromLa
People need to start getting their head checked by a doctor,if they really think that nashville is gonna trade weber.
elvis15
Yeah, I doubt Weber gets traded. Maybe later in his contract, but not any time soon. If Weber wanted to be in Van, he would have taken the 1 year offer sheet Gillis proposed and come here as a UFA. Why would Edler want to waive to go to Nashville anyway? Ottawa doesn't take the deal in the other trade. Stastny will either get re-signed in Colorado or someone else will offer him a premium in free agency. I don't want Downie either, so I don't think much is plausible here.
Azzy Mahmood
Nashville laughs at that offer. As does Ales Edler, who refuses to waive.
PhillipBlunt
While I don't see that package getting Poile to consider moving Weber, I can't see Weber being content with being on a marginal team like the Predators for too many more seasons. I do see him giving it one more season and then asking for a trade. Edler isn't waiving his clause any time soon or possibly at all, so using him as a trade chip is pointless. For Vancouver to land him they would have to give up a flurry of prospects and picks plus a roster player or two that don't have clauses or are willing to waive to go Nashville.
