What's impressive about the big three (Erie, Oshawa, and London)?

Top three in the OHL in goals per game:

London- 6

Oshawa- 5

Erie- 4.8 (Guelph and the Soo also at 4.8)

Although some talk about the OHL being high scoring, the avg goals per game is 3.58. Each of the big three is well above this average.

Goals Against:

London is third, Oshawa fifth, Erie eighth

Three Canucks prospects in the top 5 in scoring. BoHo would most likely be up there as well but for the fact he has only played four games.

Hope we draft 6'7 winger HUNTER SMITH with our 4th/5th. If he keeps it up, he'll climb into the top 100. Would you take him in the 3rd round?? Who are your guys favorite non talked about players (Anyone outside the top 50) from what you've SEEN (not heard): Please reply to this post, I haven't heard anyone else's opinion on these guys... I only hear about CDC favorites like Virtanen, Honka, Etc

Fwd-CONNOR CHATHAM, Matt Mistele, Jaeden Descheneau (19yrs), Vaclav Karabacek, Danny Moynihan

Dmen-Dysin Mayo, Aaron Irving, Alexis Vanier, Aaron Haydon, JULIUS BERGMAN, Josh Wesley

Goalies-DEVIN WILLIAMS, Julio Billia

Never seen these guys play but after reading up on em, these sound interesting (Plz let me know if you've seen any play):

Mike Amadio, John Quenneville, Blake Clark, Clark Bishop, Reid Gardiner, Brycen Martin, Juho Lammikko

Also interesting to see how the following players pan out:

Josh Ho-Sang... Ales Hemsky or Angelo Esposito?

Anthony DeAngelo... Erik Karlsson or Marc-Andre Bergeron?

Thatcher Demko... the next Cory Schneider?

Warren Foegele.. Is Mclovin this years Mark Jankowski, or did he not make Junior Hockey for a reason?

Christian Dvorak... Didnt see much from him this year because of stacked London team, overhyped?

Will these little guys drop because of their size, despite 1st round talent:

Brayden Point... Little Moose Jaw forward successful in the NHL like Theo Fleury?

Chase De Leo.. 5 feet 9 inches from Portland Winterhawks, Nick Petan?

Daniel Audette and Ivan Nikolishin.. Like father like son?

Vladimir Tkachev.. Man do I love watching this guy play.. Pavel Bure

Players Id take with these picks:

1st Round Pick (our top 10): Haydn Fleury. If gone, Perlini, Ritchie, Virtanen. Ehlers would be fun to watch

1st Round Pick (If we get a late 1st): Alex Tuch, JAKUB VRANA. A Russian like Goldobin/Scherbak (I wish)

2nd Round picks: Brendan Lemieux, ERIC CORNEL, Jayce Hawryluk, Robby Fabbri, Travis Sanheim

7th Round Picks: Tim Bender, Nathan Pancel, Alexis Pepin, Marvin Cupper, Michal Plutnar, Dominik Volek

***I really want a finish Goalie, If we dont get Thatcher Demko with our early 2nd pick, one of VILLE HUSSO or KAAPO KAKHONEN (or Devin Williams) would be awesome in the 3rd/4th

***Just found out OHL rookie of the year last year and potential 2015 top 10 pick Travis Konecny is Bo Horvat's cousin, sweet. Who do you guys like in next years draft besides the obvious McDavid, Eichel, Barzal. I really like, Konecney, Dylan Strome, Mitch Marner, and goalie Mackenzie Blackwood. In the later rounds, TY RONNING! Giants also have underachievers Osipov and Baer. Don't know if those 3 Giants players are going in the Connor McDavid draft or the Sean Day draft

his Uncle, Brad Smith, is a former NHLer and is currently the Director of Player Personnel for the Colorado Avalanche. I'd be surprised if they didn't draft him in the 3rd or 4th, maybe 5th. I'd also be surprised if anyone else drafts him earlier than that.

He's had a breakout year, to be sure (the previous 2 seasons combined he had one goal and one assist), but he did that by playing on the powerhouse that is Oshawa (top 5 in the OHL, #1 in the East). also, he started off super strong 21 pts in 27 games, but then only got 19 more points in the next 37 games. He's not a strong or fast skater, and doesn't use his size as much as he should; as it is, he'll probably end up as an AHL 4th line enforcer.

I know his quick playoff start has shown promise, but that's just an anomaly in the small sample size (plus their 19 goals in 4 games)

Good post, some new names to look into for me. You should re-post it in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft thread though. I'm sure plenty of people would be interested in seeing it there!

Erie, London, Portland, and Halifax.

Those will be the four teams in the Memorial cup IMO.

No one can match the scoring depth of Erie, Portland, and Halifax. And then London of course gets a freebie.

A many as 4 Canucks prospects could be represented in the memorial cup. Possibly 5 if we draft Ehlers. :bigblush:

Players that aren't talked about on CDC that I want the Canucks to take are:

Matt Mistele

Matt Murphy

Tyson Baillie

Blake Clarke

Josh Thrower

Alexis Pepin

Frank Hora

All would be third round picks and later, could probably get a couple in the 5th round.

Have you seen Kelowna play?
