Glory_Days
Nyquist has been on an absolute torrid pace recently, 17 goals, 26 points over his last 21 games, averaging maybe about 17min of ice in that time, He`s nearly put up ppg numbers now in his shortened season, all this without getting much,(recently none) playing time with Datsyuk or Zetterberg. Is this guy the real deal? or is this just a flash in the pan?Nyquist/Mantha/Tatar/Shehan/Jurco, Detroit might not be so screwed after all when Datsyuk and Zetterberg are gone. Peaches
If Detroit makes the playoffs, it wouldn't be ridiculous to think he'd be in contention for the Hart.

gmen81
Could have had him as a throw in earlier in a trade this year. Opted for Silfverberg instead. And to answer the OP's question about him being the real deal, I'll say that he has been on many keeper poolies radar since his Maine playing days. Peaches
Yeah, it would be ridiculous. He has single handed got them into a playoff spot. 18 goals in 25 games.
TheRussianRocket.
Is he the real deal you ask?: absolutely. Lifelong Wings fan and been watching him all season as for the other youngsters on the team and Gustav is a step ahead of the rest. Babcock has full trust in him and is playing him regular top 6 minutes now. His development has rapidly increased and is going to mesh in with the leagues top stars in 2-4 years. Quote me on it if you don't agree....he's something else and Datsyuk and Zetterberg have even praised him.

Jägermeister
He won't even play in 60 games this season, and will likely still only finish at around a point per game. So yes, it would be absolutely ridiculous if he won the Hart over say: Crosby, Getzlaf, Toews, Bishop, Giroux, etc. Regardless... holy moly is he on one heck of a tear right now. BoKnows53
Late season pick up in my keeper pool. I'm going to keep him over Bergeron/Wheeler/O'Reilly/Oshie, he's convinced me.
Ghostsof1915
Mantha and a 2nd in 2014 and a 1st in 2015 for Kesler and Schroeder would be good.
Pears
Mantha and a 2nd in 2014 and a 1st in 2015 for Kesler and Schroeder would be good. For Edler it would be. Kesler can get much more value than that.
people please
Let me guess, he was just another late round steal for Detroit?
Devoted
If you watched hockey, then you would know that it wouldn't be. And if you've ever seen the Hart trophy winners in the past you'd know that half a season doesn't make an MVP. I'm a big fan of Nyquist, took him in my keeper draft this year. He's a heck of a talent. But not a league MVP this year
