UnkNuk
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?id=115803 So after last night's games the Canucks now stand 11th in draft position. This means they have a 1.5% chance of winning the draft lottery on April 15th. Not good odds, but after the way the Hockey Gods have dumped on the Canucks this season with injuries, I think they owe us one.

DeNiro
New Jersey doesn't pick till 30th. We can still get in to 8th with a few more losses. At this point that's what's best. We're not making the playoffs. And it does make a difference contrary to what some other posters claim. Being in 8th will likely give us a shot at Nylander, Ritchie, Ehlers, or Perlini. Canucks fans shouldn't worry about winning the lottery, it's not gonna happen. Just be happy with the 8-10 pick. There will be some good players available there. Warhippy
Winnipeg, Nashville, Ottawa, Carolina and even Calgary (with 2 games at hand and a miracle run) could pass us in the standings if we only win 2 of our remaining games and they all start playing the spoiler role, which Carolina and Calgary have traditionally done this time of year we could still pick anywhere from 6th to 14th. No big deal really.
LostViking
We have as much chance to get 1st overall as we do to make the playoffs. Lets just be happy we didn't pull a Calgary and trade our first for a rental.
Goal:thecup
Bettman, scheming in the back room, "If we let the Canucks win the draft lottery, they won't be able to tell we're conspiring against them." If we win the lottery who would you pick?

If we win the lottery who would you pick? Ekblad for sure. I think we need to move up and try and draft Dal Colle or Draisaitl though. Canucks scouts have certainly watched Dal Colle play quite a bit having played with Cassels, so I'm sure they would have alot of interest in him. Absent Canuck
11th. NJ still goes in the draft lottery. Why? I was under the impression the second round and beyond was done by standings . No need for the Devils to enter the lottery.

Warhippy
How do we pick 14th? By winning....we are 3 points out of 13th in the draft and 4 points back of Dallas for 14th in the draft due to the Jersey forfeiture. If we win out we draft as high as 14th, outside chance of even making the bloody playoffs....
