GDT: Around the NHL Week of March/April (31-04) 2014

Dan Cleary is done for the season due to side effects from an injection used to relieve pain. During the Olympic break, Cleary received the injection made from a natural substance that lubricates and cushions knee joints. The injected painkiller – called Synvisc-One – can provide up to six months of osteoarthritis pain relief; however, inflammation is a side-effect that has since sidelined the veteran winger.

Josh Harding is back on the ice and practicing with the team for the first time since mid-to-late January in Chicago. Harding, 29, has been sidelined since December, 31st from complications of multiple sclerosis. Josh is a great example of "If you want something go and get it, nothing is impossible."
