Riverlore
I can't believe there hasn't been more out there about the Burrows fight with Getzlaf. Over the years there have been those types of players....the type of players that we all at our heart would love to be. Burrows didn't care about size, he was trying to jump start his team and seeing him throw himself into the fire made my heart burst with pride. This team is playing for each and that is obvious. We may not make it but it would appear the brain fart that this team went through in January is over and Burrows heart Bodes well for the team that they will they will ice Next year. Mikael Samuelsson
All due respect to Burrows, I'd rather have a big guy pummel Getzlaf over Burr getting taken. Burr's heart belongs on the scoreboard, not in the box.

Neversummer
haha ... when I read the heading, I thought of that Heart of a Canuck promo 2013 with Tortorella ... now looking back on the season ... what a joke! Couldn't find that clip but if anyone can, it'd be cool if you can post it ... for a laugh that is.Add to Kesler's opening statement at 2013 Season:http://blogs.theprovince.com/2013/09/13/kesler-says-to-the-haters/You may want to think twice about doubting the Canucks. At least, when youre around Ryan Kesler. On the first day of training camp, he promised hed make the doubters eat their words. On the third day, he wasnt quite so nice. Or clean.Everyone keeps waiting for fireworks from John Tortorella. That will have to wait. They got a spark Friday, however, and that was from Kesler. To be honest, I dont listen to that crap, said Kesler, when asked about people who think the Canucks are on the downslide and are no longer one of the top five teams in the league.Thats what it is. Its crap. We believe in ourselves in the dressing room. All those negative comments were not even going to To be honest, I shouldnt have even answered that question. Its crap.Kesler did show up at training camp healthy this year. He says its the first time in two years. But hes also got a chip stapled to his shoulder.Kesler said he wasnt good enough last year, and promised he will be better this season. It will be for lots of reasons. One seems to be that hell use his critics for motivation. The past two years wasnt my best, Kesler said. Jiggs50
Bieksa was hurt clearly and wasn't going to fight Getzlaf. I don't think Burr expected to drop the gloves but good for him to try..

chrisbanks
there wasnt going to be a fight between bieska and getz but getz is the type of guy to takes no lip from the burrs and marchands of the league... burr didnt look like he wanted to fight just beak and get in his face and getz dropped his mitts in record time and filled him in... Goal:thecup
Heart of a lion, more like it. Bieksa is hurt (not that Burr isn't) and he just stepped in front of him and faced Getzlaf who is a beast. Just back from a broken jaw and that Shanahan-endorsed head shot and he just wades in. What a guy; and he gets no respect. Perry is the one who should have been tuned up. Kicked Lack in the mask and then tripped Hammer 3 feet in front of the end boards. That pitiful attempt to apologize CBC just ate up; unlike Hamhuis who looked pretty stunned when he first got back up. Perry is a turd; a high-scoring effect hockey player but a slimy human being.
