Everyone seems to think that the Sedins aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

'Their' 2.5 month no show this year 'is' the reason why 'the' Canucks 'are' not making the playoffs

How many more coaches do we fire before the 'Sedin's' 4 years are up ?

Made some corrections for you

Never have liked the idea of a coaching carousel, it was an eye-opener yesterday at how many people were yearning for the past(AV), even though the teams play after the SCF run would signify that the team wouldn't/couldn't be successful in the playoffs under his watch. Perhaps it was Micheal Gillis that didn't help get the tools for AV to make another run, maybe the core had tuned him out. Whatever the case may be, we weren't having much success in the playoffs and there was need for change.

In any case, do you keep spinning the coaching wheel until you find one the players like? Or do you build a team around a philosophy? Imo, you build around the philosophy, while tweaking it a bit here and there until you find the right balance. Again imo, Torts has been missing parts of the ingredients at certain times all year to get a good read on what his finished product may look like.

This team is run by Sedin power,in case you missed the first half of the year and the whole Gillis era.

Trade Gillis ,Torts and Cold Hard Truth.

Keep the franchise's excellence intact.

this team has been embarrassed the last 3 playoff rounds and will miss it this year...Sedin Power is a joke after xmas every year no matter who the coach is.

The Sedins are nice guys, class acts, but not playoff built and will never take us back to a Cup run.

The Sedin's are two players. They can't play goal, they aren't defensemen, and they can't play 60 minutes a night. They have gone against the toughest defences in the NHL, with no griping, no complaints.

Now let's list the help that the GM's have brought in to take some pressure off their line....

Oh wait, MG has failed to build 2-3 lines to take the pressure off. We have some hope with Kassian, Jensen etc.

People have it all wrong. It's not the Sedin's that are the problem. It's the lack of high end talent around them that's the problem.

Even Kesler isn't consistent enough lately to take the heat off them, in fact now he's put on a line with them!

We've been a 1 line team for mostly a decade. Pretty easy to counter the Sedin's when they don't have help.

The Sedins poor season happened after AV left and Torts came in. The Sedins aren't the kind of players who should be blocking shots. AV let them be creative and it resulted in Hart and Art Ross trophy's, Torts is enforcing a system that simply doesn't work for the twins and it shows. So to answer your poorly worded poll question, just one has to go Torts.

You may want to look at who lead the Canucks in playoff scoring over the last 4 years, before making such stupid statements.

I voted for one more coach, because I don't see Tort's lasting 4 more years.

Regarding the trashing of the Sedins around here...STFU. This year has had so many setbacks that any team would be slumping.

Not to mention a new coach that wants to turn the racing horses into plow horses.

Just a few adjustments and this team will be back on track. Add a nice draft pick, incoming youth and a decent UFA to this team and we're good to go.

They shouldn't be playing ~25 minutes a night and that's what Torts had them doing before they got injured. Probably why they got injured.

Canucks scoring regular season and playoff points leaders @ ~1ppg.

One injury riddled season and THEY'RE the problem...uhuh....

The Sedins aren't the problem, which is why the thread is about the coach(es) that we may go through. Personally, I think we need a coach who uses the Sedins correctly. Torts could be that guy if he changes his methods but if he doesn't then he needs to go. Not because he's a bad coach but because he's the wrong coach for us.
