DylanA
I'm probably overvaluing Jensen & Kassian's potential, but still, maybe. The initial problem is they're both right wingers, but I'm sure one could switch. Despite not doing much lately, Jensen has shown he has an amazing wrist shot and decent speed. If Jensen can become a smarter player and better passer (which I truly believe he can), who's to say he can't become the next Naslund? Kassian-Bert comparison is fairly obvious. Just needs to cut out some of the stupid things he does (like his hit on Dillion) and continue developing at this pace. Maybe one day we'll all be like "Cody Who?" Just need to find a Morrison and maybe this can be the future West Coast Express.
Merely
Kind of crazy comparing Jensen to Naslund.
Exil3d
The game announcers have been comparing Kassian to Bertuzzi for awhile now, so your statement there is nothing new.

Goat James
Hasn't this been discussed to death? They're similar players but the thing is that Näslund and Bertuzzi in their prime were top ten players in the world. I don't think that either one of Kassian or Jensen have the potential to be that good.

-AJ-
I'd agree that the styles do match up. And it gets me excited. At the same time, Naslund and Bertuzzi were two of the best players in the NHL at one point. Let's not go out assuming that Jensen and Kass will reach those heights. However, there's always a chance. austy
i agree. especially with the comparison to naslund. you're just setting up a guy like jensen to failbit of a spiteful comment but I see your point. I would like to see them played together for a bit though. Although who retrieves the puck on that line?
thad
At Jensen outscoring Crosby, Giroux, Stamkos and Tavares? Probably never thought Naslund would outscore Sakic or Jagr though.
Twilight Sparkle
bit of a spiteful comment but I see your point. I would like to see them played together for a bit though. Although who retrieves the puck on that line? it's not really spiteful. from what i've see from jensen from the time he's been here, he'll be a stud in his own right. his time up here has been a true learning experience for him, but it's not really fair to him, to compare him to markus naslund, and have that weight on his shoulders. you could make an argument, if nazzy hadn't his brains scrambled by moore, he'd still be a 25-30 goal scorer today, at 40 years old
austy
I think the OP meant that they would be a delightful duo of 1 tough guy and 1 euro. I think its ok to talk of these things without adding too much weight of expectation fears.

Twilight Sparkle
i still wouldn't put my hopes on jensen and kass plus other being our top line. while it could happen, and that's our future, sign me up, but you can't compair them to anybody

missioncanucksfan
Bert had his very publicized stupid moment(s). Oh how I hope he becomes similar to Bert.During the WCE era, my old favorite watering hole (14th Ave Pub), beer would be $2.50/pint everytime the canucks scored....walked out of there in a stupor many of times....would love that energy back.... Thats why I still think Marc Crawford is the best candidatr to coach this team. He STILL knows how to play the Sedins, knows the majority of the core and plays the high tempo, puck possession game that Gillis wants. Hopefully Kass/Jensen can be developed into new WCE like the OP is suggesting How much cooler would it be if Cole Cassels can come in to center that line? I still credit his dad Andrew for starting the original WCE before Brendan Morrison took over

Kassquatch is a better player than u think he is he's a future Chris Stewart or maybe Godard like Jensen being compared with Naslund? Maybe Naslund was a consistent goal scorer for us Jensen should be compared to players like Dupuis, Schwartz, etc Nazzy is too much of a legend to be compared early to a player like Jensen Jensen will become more of a star in the future but I don't see him being a legend like Nazzy
