I don't want to jump in too hard here, because I just got home and probably don't know the whole story, but I have to wonder why you bring in Dolis with a one run lead?

Yes, he's been better lately, but even so, he usually alternates between okay and unable to find the strike zone....Yesterday was an off day, so I'm not sure why we're saving the top guys....

I get that it's a double header, but what happened to "Play to win and worry about the next game later"? That's pretty much been Charlie's motto all season, but in game one, for some reason, we're trying to win a game with the B team from the pen....

Vladdy batting .197 in the month of August.

Last 30 games, slashing .254/.317/.500

Dude is slumping hard since the All-Star break.

* don't watch Jays games all that much*

Have they moved him around the batting order at all since the break? He seems to be in the #2 spot in the box scores for some of the games I looked at in July, but earlier in the season he was often in the #3 spot. Is hitting in the #2 spot behind Springer the problem?

Just gave up his first walk.

And another walk, should have been his 12th strikeout after a 11 pitch at bat.

Minoah is pulled.

I like Manoah. Kid is a gem. Him and Pearson are going to be a formidable 1-2 punch in our rotation for years to come. Berrios and Ryu in the mix is going to look nasty as well.

Now a career high 11 strike outs in the 7th with 2 out.

Really frustrating last night, even though the jays win going away....

Manoah appeared to have the last batter in the 7th struck out twice, only to be denied the call by home plate umpire, Ed Hickox. Charlie gives him the hook and then Tyler Saucedo closes out the inning.

Top of the 8th and Hickox is back calling those exact same pitches strikes....<_< I wish MLB would just switch to those pitch trackers and get these inconsistent umps out of there...
