Springer has a left ankle sprain, and the Jays lost-again.

Now 17-16 on the season     20% of the season done. 7.5 back of Yankees and 5.5 behind Tampa.

At what point does management  begin making a few moves?

If Montoyo is turfed, who would replace him?

You can't win the division this early on in the season, but you can lose it.  The way the Yankees and Rays are playing, the Jays are not winning the division.  This meat grinder of a schedule just plain killed the Jays

Other teams’ superior pitching is killing the Jays.  They need more arms.

A couple of Seattle Mariners players won’t make the Trip to Toronto for tomorrows series due to not being vaccinated, wonder who they are?

Hopefully really important players; at this point the Jays need all the edge they can get.

Another loss.

Getting a bit tired of watching "cold" batters swing at the first pitch. Swinging away, is all fine when you, and the team is hot; but imo not good now.

Have to start scoring with men in position.

I saw a stat that the Blue Jays are last place 30th in RISP this year, last year they were much better ranked 3rd

Do the Jays need to make a change with the coaching? Mostly the hitting coach. Don't seem to have a good approach and certainly are not hitting well this year.

Yesterday I thought the bats finally came alive but today we were back to poor hitting couldn’t even get a run…hope the home stand helps

The Jays are 3-8, since that nice gesture from the fan…….dude should have kept the ball.

On the bright side, the next two series (Seattle and Cincinnati) should be easy wins.

Things look pretty ugly right now, but to put things into perspective, the Reds threw a no-hitter yesterday against the Pirates....and lost....

These kids are in A Ball, so we won't likely see them in Toronto for a few years, but it does bode well for the future of the rotation....

Prospects on the Class A Dunedin Blue Jays struck out 24 batters in a 1-0 win over the New York Yankees' Tampa Tarpons in the Florida State League on Saturday night, the most in a nine-inning minor league game since at least 2005.

Nick Frasso, a 24-year-old right-hander, struck out eight over three innings. Dahian Santos, a 19-year-old right-hander, struck out 10 over four innings. Braden Scott, a 24-year-old left-hander, struck out six over two innings. They combined on a two-hitter.

The highest previous nine-inning total since MLB Advanced Media became the minors' official statistician in 2005 was 22 by Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Aug. 28, 2016 and matched by the Florida Complex League Astros last Sept. 8 and Class A Clearwater this April 23.

I think the first change is to the pitching coach. Is Martinez the problem? No idea. But there is a clear problem with talented players underperforming, and a new voice is a way of making a small change with hopefully a big payoff.

Watching the Jays with RISP is brutal. Might as well just watch to see if the leadoff hits a HR (especially if its Springer) and if not, change the channel.
