Day games are a lot of fun.

I prefer nights……..a lot cooler.

Oracle Park in San Fran. at dawn has an amazing atmosphere and view.

Two hours and fifteen minutes?  Okay, that's getting there.  But I still want to see the average game get down to two hours.  Because, let's be honest, two hours of baseball is enough.  Am I right?

I don't think it will get there.  Commercial breaks.  No way owners and TV executives are giving that up.

I’m probably in the minority but I love going to a baseball game and chilling for 4 hours with friends. Just chatting it up. Especially, if it’s a gorgeous day.

It's great when you're at the game but sucks for watching on TV.

Watching at home is a different story, but I usually keep myself occupied while I watch baseball at home.

Same.

I love the strategy of the game...what pitch will  he throw in this situation....what count will the runner decide to run on....hit and run, or bunt...?

Go to a double-header.  Two hours each - bingo! - there's your four hours.  B)

I know it's early but Jays pitching has not been good at all save for yesterday. Bassitt looks terrible but hopefully it is just early season rust and adjustments.

I haven't been able to watch the last 2 games, but is Vladdy getting many pitches to hit?  I'm wondering if there is enough power in the line up now....

Well, that was more like it.....

They're still stranding more runners that I'd like, but Varsho hit an opposite field dinger (something Arden Zwelling said he didn't do all of last season) and most importantly, Yusei Kikuchi threw 5 solid innings and was backed up by a solid bullpen effort from Garcia, Mayza, Swanson and Romano.

Mayza was especially impressive, striking out all four batters he faced.

Now, before we get ahead of ourselves, this was against a light hitting Royals lineup, but there were a lot of positives. Need to back this game up with a bounce back start from Manoah....

It is nice to see Kikuchi have a strong outing.  Hopefully he can carry his spring form through the season.

Jays looking much better today....a couple more dingers, a solid outing from Gausman and Anthony Bass cleaned up a bit of a mess in the bottom of seven....

....but man, are Belt and Jansen dragging down the bottom half of the order....

....aaaannnd now Richards and Mayza can't get anyone out in the 8th....<_<

I still think Pete Walker isn't doing the staff any favours.  Pretty surprised he managed to stay after last season; it was a perfect opportunity to upgrade and get a fresh start after the change of managers.

Richards is the low leverage guy ATM. I get what Schneider was thinking....you'd like TR to eat some innings, so you don't have to use the high leverage guys.

This time it didn't work out, but at least Bass and Garcia were able to limit the damage.
