bigpush
Pittsburgh seems to of been the team pushing the hardest for Kesler this past deadline and IMO he would be wiling to waive to play there. I also think Pittsburgh is going to struggle again in the playoffs, because of the way the team is structured (top heavy offense). If they have an early exit Shero might be willing to make some more drastic changes to the team. Malkin, 1st 2014 for Kesler, Edler, Hansen, Jensen/Shinkaruk and 1st in 2014 and 2015. This gives Van one of the best players in the league, and Pit gets 3 good players on good contracts, an offensive forward prospect and an additional 1st in a deep draft. This allows Pittsburgh to move forward in a more balanced approach. Obviously Van gets the best player but Pittsburgh gets much more cap flexibility moving forward while aquireing several important pieces that help now and in the future. Pears
UNREALISTIC. Just like your Sedins for Tatar, Jurco, and a 2nd proposal right? While it may be unrealistic, it's not that far off value-wise and something I would at least consider if I were Shero.

bigpush
Never going to remotely happen! I don't know how anything remotely happens, but of course it won't happen thats not the point. Would you move that much for Malkin? Would that be enough for Pit to move him? Would that trade benifit both teams? Those are the types of discussions I was hoping to generate. bigpush
Minnesota will also sign Vanek. That seems to be the general consensus but I wonder if Minny can with a number of good young forwards (Zucker, Granlund, Coyle, Nino, Fontaine) as well as established guys (Koivu, Parise, Pominville) all needing offensive minutes. Before they resigned Pominville I would of agreed with you but I'm not so sure its a done deal.
Alex Burrows 14
Nope I don't think I could do that. I would be willing to trade for a first line center though. Don't get me wrong I love Henrik and he is a number #1 center but the depth we would have if they were on the second line would be amazing. I've also looked at some of your other trades and they're awful for the other team. Like the Edler trade to NYI, Kucherov AND MORE for Kes and Burr for Beaulieu. All of those are laughable. The Edler 1 espically since Reinhart is already worth more in terms of value than Edler...So b4 u go ahead and call some1 out on their trade, look at yours 1st. Because trading the two best players in Canucks history for two rookies who may or may not play the same way in a different system seems totally plausable...Kesler is arguably a better two-way player than Richards and look what he got. And yes, a rookie defenceman who hasn't played a game in the NHL is worth more than a proven former all-star, top 4 defenceman. Your reasonings are fantastic. canucks155
Right. And yes, a rookie defenceman who hasn't played a game in the NHL is worth more than a proven former all-star, top 4 defenceman. Your reasonings are fantastic.Alright, I'll admit that the Sedin trade has some risk to it and is unrealstic. W/ that being said, Tatar and Jurco will better than the Sedins in a couple of years. I have re visited my original proposal and Rush17 convinced me that the Sedins are better on the Canucks as mentors and we should look at trading them maybe when their contracts are in the last year.I really doubt Kesler is better than Richards. Because...Richards was 26 yrs old when he was traded (Kes is 29), didn't have any injury problems (many surgeries for Kes), and was racking up 60-80 points a season, before being dealt (Kes has 42). Mike Richards' last three seasons with Philadelphia, he had a combine 208 points. (Kesler's last FOUR seasons had 173 points) Somebody else posted this on my other topic. So, I think it's safe to say that Richards is better since at the time, he was younger, scoring more, and was in the prime of his career. Kesler's only attribute better now than Richards back then is his dfence and thats by a little. You're delusional if u think we'll get that much for him.Keyword: FORMER. Now whats Edler? The worst dman in the league. Worst +- out of all dmen and he is absoultely awful. Griffin Reinhart, other than the pedigree his last name carries was drafted 4th OVR, ahead of Morgan Reilly who is better than Edler ALREADY. I'm not even going to go into the draft picks... It doesn't take a real genius to see that Griffin Reinhart is worth more than Edler.EDLER IS NOT GOOD ANYMORE. NEITHER IS KESLER

The Stork
It's great but I don't see Pitt trading one of their stars It's better if we sign Gaborik and Jokinen They could create chemistry as the season goes and it would give Gaunce and Horvat possibly Fox and Shinkaruk too to play some minutes if the Canucks don't re-sign Richardson and trade Kesler
