Congratulations to John Gibson on his first win & shutout in his first career NHL game last night. Gibson is the youngest NHL goalie since Darren Puppa to record a shutout in his NHL debut (20 years and 297 days). Gibson is also the first goalie in Ducks history to record a shutout in his Anaheim debut.

Tomas Vokoun is headed to the AHL for a conditioning assignment with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Vokoun has been officially out of the Penguins’ lineup since October with a blood-clot issue. The 37-year-old was medically cleared to play in February; now, he’ll get the chance to see some game action.

The Minnesota Wild can clinch a 2014 Stanley Cup Playoff berth tonight if they get at least one point against the Boston Bruins OR if Phoenix Coyotes lose to the Columbus Blue Jackets in any fashion or defeat the Blue Jackets in a shootout OR if the Dallas Stars lose to the Nashville Predators in any fashion.
