The Ultimate Warrior Dead At 54

If you were alive in the late 80's-early 90's, you probably remember professional wrestler The Ultimate Warrior.

I'll go out on a limb and say he died of a heart attack due to past steroid use....

Don't think you should go on a limb, cause hasn't been officially determined.

RIP WARRIOR, he finally got his rightful place in the HOF this past weekend. One of the biggest superstars and characters ever, no matter what anyone says.

bitterness aside, he seems somewhat intelligent, which is far more than we can say about 99.9999% of all the wrestlers from the golden age, who all now seem to be poverty-stricken drug addicts

i watched that trash when i was super young. i loved ultimate warrior, but bret hart and jake the snake were my favourites. wasn't jake the snake a crack fiend or something?

edit: okay, intelligent isn't the correct word

wtf happened while i was at work. i guess if you tuned in to this past raw you saw him cut his last semi-coherent promo

Foreshadowing his death. :(

I wish I still had my Warrior buddy doll. :( :(

This was his last promo in the WWE:

"No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own. Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe a final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized. By the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him and make the running the man did live forever. You, you, you, you, you, you are the legend-makers of Ultimate Warrior. In the back, I see many potential legends. Some of them with warrior spirits. And you will do the same for them. You will decide if they lived with the passion and intensity. So much so that you will tell your stories and you will make them legends, as well. Ultimate. You are the Ultimate Warrior fans. And the spirit of Ultimate Warrior will run forever!"

I do not know this guy but it's always sad when somebody dies, life is precious and you never know when it will end. I saw this story on TMZ while doing research on a reality show I watch and was surprised because it said he was on live tv last night giving a speech.

One of my all-time favourites. Warrior, Randy Savage, LOD, Ted Dibiase, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels - what a time that was for wrestling. The modern day roster isn't a patch on them.

RIP Warrior, you were incredible. I'll never forget your part in Hogan vs Sid.

I think the WWE should work at taking care of their old stars better. But then all they do is chew up people and spit them out.

Maybe monitor their health better while they are performing?

He was one of the more entertaining wrestlers. So much more than the boring soap opera that's the WWE now.

I thought he died awhile ago.

He was just out of the limelight as he and McMahon didn't get along at all and there were several lawsuits over the rights to the Ultimate Warrior name/persona. It was apparently just resolved (like really just) for him to come back to the WWE just this past weekend.

Perhaps Warrior (apparently he changed his name legally) knew his health was failing and reconciled with McMahon as a result? The timeline's pretty quick.

Growing up Ultimate Warrior was one of my favorite wrestlers. I don't watch wrestling anymore, but it's sad to see another wrestler die so young. The business needs to change because it's just crazy how many wrestlers have died in their 40's and 50's.

He was one of my favourites back in the day (never you mind people, YES I watched rasslin). He goes way back and he was a female favourite (those guys with long hair).

I'd bet you're right with how he died...so sad, too young and is it really worth it? Sure, to become a star and have the fame, glory and money associated with that. But what's it worth if you're gone so early?

I also remember when Owen Hart plummeted to his death....this gig took some good people in its wake.

RIP Warrior.

That's a tough question to be honest. Do you live large and die young, or do you live small with a longer life. We all die at some point, it's how a person decides to live that matters.

I don't know what my choice would be.
