Glad the season is ending

After a woeful year i for one am glad the season is about to end. Hopefully Linden can restore some pride into the club. Pretty much done for hockey this year at least won't have to bear another first round exit. Montreal should be the logical choice to cheer for but the Bettman era doesn't allow Canadian teams to win cups. His NBC masters demand American teams for the big show. That being said i'll kind of follow St. Louis in the playoffs.

Steering away from the conspiracy theories, I too am excited for this off season.

Currently, we have a team with some amazing assets. Believe it or not, the players that made it to the 2011 cup finals that are with us did not magically lose their skill. This team has just been hit with a ton of locker room garbage, apathy due to lack of changes, and many many injuries. Yes, the core has become older, but that's where it gets exciting.

We will have a good pick this year that will stock up our shelves. Along with our prospects that are among the leading scorers of the OHL, we have many young guys that will be brought into the mix next year to learn from our vets.

We have a new president that has a massive amount of respect. It is way to early to make any judgment calls, but his attitude for bringing change and improvement does not seem like a farce with his guarantee to allow season ticket holders to drop if they are not satisfied.

All in all, next year should be awesome, and I for one am looking forward to it.

I thought this might be a crap post but good thought.

Only thing is try this thought again in a week. It'll be tough.

I'm going for Columbus and Detroit. Love that Calvert. Probabaly my favorite player I don't get to see enough. He just has energy and determination in spades.

Too many injuries. We were an offensive minded team in 2011 with the #1 PP putting in a ton of goals. Tried to bring in a defensively minded coach with offensives assets and this is what happens. Bring in an offensive coach where we don't play garbage boring hockey and we will finish top 5 in the west. As for the playoffs i'll be watching St. Louis and cheering them on to win the cup.

west title goes to Edmonton actually all that talent and they still can't get out of the basement

They don't actually have that much talent.

The only thing out of a million things needed to be a playoff team that they have is speed up front.

They have no depth, no defense, no bottom six, no elite two way player(s), only recently acquired a goalie who is worthy of being a starter, and a coach who's out of his league.

Most pathetic team in the west this season: Vancouver

Most pathetic team in the east this season: Toronto (Buffalo too lol)

I'm stoked this season is finally over.

Buffalo tanked on purpose and just knew they were when they traded Miller away. The Canucks are obviously one of the worst teams in the West this year. If everyone stays healthy next season, there's a chance the Canucks are a cup contender especially when this team has Santorelli who had 28 points in 39 games played this season and helped our team go almost undefeated in December. Can't blame anyone for this miserable season. Injuries were the main cause for the season collapse

And yet the Canucks/Bruins finals set NBC records for viewers. There's no conspiracy. It's not the NHL's fault the Canadian teams aren't very good.

Let's face it, this is practically the 3rd year in a row with no playoffs for the Canucks. Yes they played 9 games the previous 2 years but with only one win and only after the series was virtually decided. We were as good as swept for the last 2 playoffs. I for one am happy we missed out this time, real changes have happened because of this and more are guaranteed to come. There's no way that the offseason will be more boring or aggravating than what we had to endure watching this team actually play.

Go Trevor Go!
