Gstank29
Van Kesler Phil 2014 first round Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier I know this is not what fans are looking for in return for kesler, but it's a fair trade and you only have to see Kesler twice a year, oppose to the 4-6 times if he's traded to anaheim. Van Edler Boston 2014 first rounder Joe Morrow ( maybe a third) Again the return isn't huge but it's very realistic. Joe Morrow my need another year but, i believe he can become a top 6 defence man and probably a good match for Corrado or Tommernes. Van 2014 Boston first 2014 Phil first (maybe a third) Winipegs 2014 Win first this give vancouver two top 10 picks where they can take a risk with a high end offensive talent (I.E Ehlers, Nylander) and then pick a relativity safe pick ( I.E Virtanen, Kapanen, Richie)
Tom Sestito
The difference between Schenn and Couturier is huge. Couturier is a top five defensive forward in the game already. Philly would bend over for the first one, but they wouldn't move Couturier straight up for Kesler because of age. There's a huge difference. da.moose
Nice proposal but I doubt Winnipeg pulls the trigger. Cheveldayoff's staff has been great at drafting so far finding Scheifele at #7 and Trouba at #9. I am confident that they will find another gem at the #9 spot this season. canucks155
1. Schenn or Couturier > Kesler2. I could see that working3. No way in hell WPG does that.
HunterHorvatBure
One of the better proposals I've seen no doubt
DrChill
I would do the fist two trades, not sure if two late first would benefit us more than number 9. Also not sure the WPG does it.

I would think Philly is a possibility because for one, the draft is in Philly. Home teams always like to make a splash. I don't like Schenn as all I see him doing is running around with cheap shots. I also agree with the Tom Sestito about Couturier, no way they move him. If we could land us one or two of Simmonds/Hartnell/Voracek or something we may have Philly on the hook. The Edler trade I like, you hit the nail on the head. It's very realistic in the return. Morrow is a good Dman. Love the thought of stock piling picks to trade up to acquire quality versus quantity. Yes more picks in the top 30 lead to a possible higher rate of return but top ten lead to a quality rate of return. Also glad to see a trade with Winnipeg finally didn't land us Kane!!! smithers joe
i doubt we get anymore than what boston offered for edler....he had a miserable season....i'kd take what boston had offered and run. pittsburg might sweeten their offer to include pouliotte but i don't think he'll even wind up traded.... You don't want Schenn because of his cheap shots but would gladly accept Hartnell or Simmonds? Hartnell makes Zac Rinaldo look tame and Simmonds entire game is to cause chaos in the crease by hacking, slashing, pushing, and playing to the echo of the whistle. To Schenn's credit he is one of the most physical skill forward in the NHL as far as hits go. Schenn had 200 hits this season while the Canucks leading man in hits was Bieksa with 144. BTW Philly wouldn't trade ether of Voracek or Simmonds for Kesler alone let alone give a 2 combo with them or Hartnell. Simmonds Age: 25 Goals: 29 Assists: 31 Points: 60 ATOI: 16:46 Contract: 5 more seasons at 3.975 per year Voracek Age: 24 Goals: 23 Assists: 39 Points: 62 ATOI: 17:15 Contract: 2 more seasons at 4.25 per year Giroux, Couturier, Simmonds, and Voracek are really the roster players that are treading on the untouchable category.
