hockeyville88
3 playoffs games = 6 regular season. That's the comparison right? If so, I think it's fair.
Ghostsof1915
Considering they could be gone in 3, I'd say that's a fair punishment. It sure would be nice if the league got serious in sending a message against boarding and head shots.

Common sense
Should have been for the entire 1st round. What happens if this series goes to 6 or 7 and Seabrook lays another dirty hit?
SwissCanucks
Seems pretty good, maybe one more, but not mutch.

elvis15
3 playoff games are fine by me. We can't keep judging everything by the 4 Rome got.
hockeyville88
Chris Johnston@reporterchris23 secs Interesting note on Brent Seabrook's three-game suspension: The head contact wasn't considered. Interference and charging at issue.
Ghostsof1915
Seriously???? The interference and charging was considered not the head shot????
DIBdaQUIB
Chris Johnston@reporterchris23 secsConfirms the league still has no intent to address the headshot issue. Other sports do but not the NHL. Entertainment first, safety second.
poetica
That is absolute BS! The NHL called it "interference and charging" but avoided calling it a head shot, even though they admit the hit was "late and high" and that Seabrook "drives up and into Backes." From the one angle, it's obvious that while Backes has his arm up and that is the initial point of contact, his head is the principal point of contact. Had that been a Canuck, he would have gotten a suspension at least twice as long. http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/?id=606797
