-SN-
And there's no way that wasn't intentional.
coyotecanuck
So five games minimum? Seems excessive. Bad result, but not a totally unusual play.
Green Building
How is he not considered a repeat offender? Seriously. Must be some stipulation where old CBA actions don't carry forward to the new CBA. Total bologna if you ask me. Very intentional too.
Madness
Lol he is no longer a repeat offender. Ridiculous. Throw the book at him. Totally intentional.

Bure to Mogilny
So five games minimum? Seems excessive. Bad result, but not a totally unusual play. I know right? Was only 2 minute penalty to lets leave it at that
goalie13
Thats really stupid it was more accidental and carless than anything Cooke is a good guy he used to be great with canucks and really should be back next game Are you serious? Intentional knee on knee hits are one of the dirtiest, most dangerous plays out there. And everything about that play looked intentional.
L. Stanley
Thats really stupid it was more accidental and carless than anything Cooke is a good guy he used to be great with canucks and really should be back next game lol you should be banned along with cooke if I was in charge "Matt, you've had a long career, a ring and you have injured several star players costing the NHL a lot of trouble and also a lot of money. Thanks for your service, but it is over, our league is done with you. Life time suspension"
canucks155
Barrie is out for 4-6 weeks. Even if Colorado beats the Wild, they're screwed when they go up against the Blues or Hawks. He was becoming a great dman and this is huge blow. I just hope Barrie picks up where he left off.Why is Cooke even allowed to play? He ruins guy's careers and meanwhile he's still playing for the Stanley Cup. I hope Cooke doesn't get suspended so Bordeleau can do us all a favour and knock his a** out. At this point, there's nobody in the league I HATE more than Cooke. Roy should go on the ice and jump him.
Wilbur
I think repeat offender status has more to do with fines. Cooke's past can't be ignored, but how he has reformed himself shouldn't be ignored either. Regardless, this was a reckless/dirty hit that resulted in a significant injury to a player. He's gotta be out the rest of this series at a minimum. Otherwise what's to stop more Wild players taking runs at the Avalanche? They'll know they'll be back, but so why not run the other team out of healthy bodies, Bruins style.
Heretic
How is he not considered a repeat offender? Something about an 18 month rule that your slate is wiped cleaned? I'm glad he's not a Canuck anymore and I hope he never comes back.

Wonder__Bread
Once is an accident, twice is coincidence, three times is a pattern. I don't see how some of you can defend him, oh because he puts his hands up in disbelief after the play? Cooke has shown a pattern of wreckless behavior and needs a huge suspension. How many more players need to be injured because the league doesn't have the balls to get rid of him. This is coming from a fan who got to talk to him back in the day over some little caesars pizza back when he played for us. I'm just tired of seeing him take players out of the game.
bigbadcanucks
To All Cooke Sympathizers: can you riddle me this -- why is it that these types of on-ice incidents occur on a regular basis when Matt Cooke is playing? Cooke has no business playing in the NHL...I was glad when he was shipped out of town for Matt Pettinger and when Evander Holyfield Kane ko'd him with one shot.
