Have a question: by the end of the draft, if there are some players that haven't been selected, can we throw out FA offers and get them to sign with us whether it be NHLers or prospects? And if so, what is the limit that a team can have for players...would be the NHL standard 50 players or customized?

Or how about a few extra optional draft rounds?

If the prospects are draft eligible (some guys from 2013, most guys from 2014, and all guys from 2015) they cannot be signed.

Veterans are fair game.

Alright, sounds good.

And can you and the bog get all the details down for us when the time is right so we know? Like the days we'll have to send in offers, who to send them to, how it'll work if another team is offering the same player (negotiating), and etc. Would he appreciated.

This will all be addressed when I get back.

We need to get the grunt work done, iron out the dates, and then it should be smooth sailing

Raffi Torres out first half the year according to NHL.com

Infection in his surgically repaired knee > required talking out the graft. To which it has to be redone and rehabilitated.

He was absolutely our pick at 510, round 17 when taken just the pick before at 509 after watching him for 30 odd picks...

Stung when we lost Timonen, could have been bit twice...

Ryan Donato, Carolina Prospect as of this afternoon's 976th pick of our entry draft:

Bruins’ Prospect Ryan Donato Unsure Where He’ll Play Next Season by Nicholas Goss on Wed, Jul 9, 2014 at 3:58PM Share this: Fancred WILMINGTON, Mass. — Ryan Donato doesn’t yet know where he will play hockey next season, but for right now, he’s just living the dream wearing the sweater of the team he grew up cheering for. The Bruins selected the Dexter School (Brookline, Mass.) star with the 56th overall selection (second round) in the 2014 NHL draft. It was a dream come true for the 18-year-old forward, whose dad Ted Donato spent eight seasons with the Black and Gold. “I was on cloud nine, but it didn’t feel real until now, skating with some of the guys and putting on the jersey,” Donato told reporters Wednesday at the Bruins’ development camp. Donato isn’t sure if he will return to Dexter or play in the USHL for the 2014-15 season but hopes to have a better idea over the next week or so. “After I talk to the Bruins I’ll have a clear image in my mind,” he said. Donato tallied 78 points (30 goals, 48 assists) in 30 games for Dexter last season. He has a high hockey IQ, a powerful shot and plays a responsible defensive game. His ability to finish around the net and battle for puck possession along the boards and below the goal line are valuable skills. It also takes just a few minutes of conversation to realize Donato is a high-character kid who’s humble and willing to work hard.

Donato, son of former NHLer Ted, is an intelligent player who sees the ice well and has plenty of offensive skill. Possesses slick hands, solid vision and creative moves with the puck but has some issues with his mobility. Thinks the game at a high level. (November 2013)
