I don't want to hold the draft up any longer so I'm just going to post my own deal.

Trade Announcement

To Tampa Bay:
MIN 5th (141)
MIN 5th (144)

MIN 15th (444)

To Minnesota:
TB 3rd (89)
TB 8th (212)

TB 16th (452)

Minnesota is up with the 89th overall pick.

Just curious, so you can't post a trade that you're involved in?

So is Minnesota skipped? Been like 2 days..

I believe the last pick was around 10:30am Sunday Morning, so we technically have until tomorrow morning. However since a trade happened I'm wondering if the clock resets or not. It shouldn't cuz that be dumb.

Pretty sure the clock doesn't reset. The team that traded for the pick makes the trade at their own risk (time remaining before BPA). Getting BPA'd isn't that bad either IIRC since you can pick whenever?

That doesn't make sense why any team should adopt the previous team's draft time. It's the previous team who has control on whether he wants to draft or trade in that 48-hour period and it doesn't officially become the other team's pick until the trade is announced. It's most fair for every team to have control of whether to pick or trade with a 48-hour clock, so the new team should also be given that same time frame (to at least decide who to pick).

If for example a team decides to hold out for 48 hours to field offers from teams and ultimately picks the best deal at the end of that time (which is perfectly fair and reasonable). Then it wouldn't make sense for the team that recently acquired the pick to be skipped.
