Moonshinefe
NEW YORK – Dallas Stars forward Ryan Garbutt has been fined $1,474.36, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for spearing Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry during Game 5 of the teams’ First Round Stanley Cup Playoffs series in Anaheim on Friday, April 25, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today. The incident occurred at 9:11 of the first period. Garbutt was assessed a major penalty for spearing and game misconduct. As per NHL.com I guess Perry now knows how it feels to get speared in the groin, a move he pulled on Benn just the other game.

Mikey2Dope
$1,474.36. I'm more curious how they come up with these fine amounts. Like why not just make it an even $1,475?

Tortorella's Rant
Useless fine. The guy doesn't even notice the difference in his bank account.
Bure010
Useless fine. The guy doesn't even notice the difference in his bank account. NHL has screwed themselves, they can never suspend guys for this now that they've already put it out there that it's only deserving of a fine. Madness
Im sure that $1400 fine will teach him ! Ridiculous.
J529
Somehow Lucic didn't get called because refs supposedly missed it. What about the other times Lucic has done it, including during regular season. I don't remember him being fined for any of the previous ones. Did the refs miss those ones too? Unless they bring in someone new to replace Shanahan. The new guy can set new standards, but he'll have to start tough, otherwise we'll have similar issues. Jaku
I feel for Perry. Can't say I've ever had to experience something like that and I hope I never do. Who comes up with thr fine? Does the 36 cents make that big of a difference?

I don't think they have a permanent replacement right now, and may look to add one after this year.
JeremyCuddles
$1,474.36. I'm more curious how they come up with these fine amounts. Like why not just make it an even $1,475? Even if they rounded the total would be $1,474 not $1,475. Just start giving out one game suspensions.
King Heffy
Entirely the NHL's fault for deciding Lucic's garbage is acceptable Hopefully Emelin cranks him even harder this series and makes him jealous of Steve Moore.
