jerkstore1972
He's going to move onto the 2nd round and we're sitting at home. Oh well. Guess he gets the last laugh at Canucks mgmt.
Lui's Knob
Safe to say he wasn't given much to work with in 3 years looking back. New York is stacked

Grapefruits
AV was part of the problem. Gillis was the bigger problem. He failed to make the team better since the 2011 SCF.
asian player
Safe to say he wasn't given much to work with in 3 years looking back. New York is stacked Canucks in his tenure >>>> NYR He had the sedins in their prime (Art Ross, Hart), Kesler in his prime (40g, selke), Edler on top of his game (50+ points), Ehrhoff, good depth on D (just lacked that true #1), and good bottom 6. He also had Luongo
Raph
While I'm not the biggest AV fan, I was calling for MG's head since the end of the 2011-2012 season with the disasters on Torres, Ehrhoff, and Hodgson.Simply put, MG should have been canned last year, not AV. If this year was still disaster, then can AV.
Honky Cat
No..not at all..it was time for him to move on..We just made a mistake with the guy coming the other way..AV is very likeable and humble ..and I would be happy for him if he could hoist the SC over his head.... Knucklehd
Maybe he wasn't the problem, but a coach has a shelf life, and I do believe he reached his. The room needed a new voice.

KFBR392
AV was stale and played favorites with the roster. His time was done here. This team would still suck with or without him.
M A K A V E L I 96
AV didn't make in game adjustments. Also, not giving Luongo mercy hooks and leaving him twisting in the wind re-enforced his shaky confidence for future games.

Maybe stop assuming?
Aladeen
Only fickle fans who needed a scape goat ever thought AV was the problem, that being said he would not be a good coach for this team now as we need a coach who is willing to let young guys make some mistakes and not ride the pine or rot in the pressbox for a blunder. DrChill
AV was a great coach, just became stale like the team needed a refresh like the core does. Need one or two core guys to be traded for youth to refresh the team.

Painted into a corner the GM was the issue it filtered down AV was in the way, not that I liked him any way. Who cares what he does for the rest of his life, I am just glad change is coming to my favorite team.
