Piggy Bank
I make lots of proposals but would like some constructive criticism please. - I am really 'blowing' this one up. -This is Buffalo Sabre style. Van-Ana: Ryan Kesler, retain 15% for 10th Overall Kyle Palmeiri Anaheim 1st 2015 (If Anaheim doesnt make Conf Finals in 2015 playoffs, 1st becomes 2nd.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Van-Det: Alex Edler for Anthony Mantha 2nd 2015 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Van-Phi: Dan Hamhuis for Sean Couturier/Brayden Schenn (MY GOD WAS PHILLY'S D BAD VS NYR) 1st 2015 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Van-Mtl: Alex Burrows for Jarred Tinordi (Over load of D prospects) 4th 2015 (6th if Burrows has less than 40 points or 40 games) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In: 10th Overall, Anaheim 1st 2015, Philly 1st 2015, Detroit 2nd 2015, Mtl 4th 2015 Palmeiri, Tinordi, Couturier, Mantha Out: Edler, Hamhuis, Kesler, Burrows ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With a poor line up of: Sedin Sedin Kassian Palmeiri Couturier Jensen Higgins Matthias Booth Hansen Richardson Sest Garrison Tanev Stanton Bieksa Tinordi Corrado SIGN BOYLE Lack We do very poorly and have a top 3 pick in 2015 (if we get a 6th with Kes Bur Ed and Ham then imagine with out them!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Draft: Nylander at 6 Virtanen/Ehlers at 10 (one should fall) 3rd Overall 2015 + 2 2015 firsts + 2 2015 2nd's Mantha Horvat Nylander Virtanen Couturier Kassian etc
Warhippy
Not the worst proposal really and probably close to actual value. Would still have decent vets moving forward and a shocking good core of staggered youth to bring in.
drummer4now
All of them are decent except the Montreal trade. No way Burrows is worth Tinordi or even close to that. Not after this season at least, 3 years ago maybe.. Philly trade is bad too. First two are fair and reasonable.
Absent Canuck
Plus 1 for the effort Kesler deal looks good except there is no takebacks on their 2015 first. Its going to be in low 20s anyways. Red Wings may not even give Mantha up for Kesler, let alone Edler. Probably better to try the Islanders for Alex. Flyers take hamhuis, but not for Couturier . Brayden Shenn . Getting their first would require an extra piece. Perhaps our 2nd next year. Montreal takes Burrows as a token. They arent giving us much of anything for him. Certainly not Tinordi. Those are the issues I have with the trades but you are certainly on the right track!!
7thMan
I love the idea of trading everything, sucking, and (fingers crossed) getting Connor McDavid, but I think you might be a bit optimistic when it comes to the return for our players. Kesler for two 1st rounders and Palmieri? The Ducks are good enough without mortgaging their future. I'm not 100% sure they would want Kesler for Palmieri straight up. I'm not sure how GMs value Edler. If we could get Mantha and a 2nd, that would be brilliant.
Gyllenhaal
This is surprisingly one of your better proposals.
-AJ-
Considering how dramatic this suggested rebuild, it's impressive that your trades seemed fairly normal. I'd be nervous about doing this, but I wouldn't totally freak if we did.
RogerEpic5
Fair and reasonable trades. Except for the Philly trade. Dan Hamhuis for Sean Courturier, schenn and a 1st 2015? That probably won't go threw.

qwijibo
I'm so tired of proposals involving burrows and Montreal just because he's French. At this point Burrows is an overpaid third liner. He would be redundant in Montreal. They have prust. Moen. Weise. Ect. There's no place for him on the top six and no need for him in the bottom six. They aren't going to trade away a top producer and waste a chunk of their cap space just because he's French
Rounoush
The value is actually pretty fair for most of these. I wouldn't trade Hammer, though.
Phil_314
Really don't want to see Kes in a Ducks uni... they're tough enough to beat as it is, and it'd be worse to face him so many times each season. Also, I'd be happy if the GM could pull of those deals, and if Holmgren's desperate MAYBE I could see him do that deal (wouldn't mind adding from our side) but Mantha's value is likely sky-high and Burr probably won't have that much trade value, at least not at the moment. However, this blow-up proposal is still better than the others saying trade for picks or young prospects who will supposedly step in right away. Edler refuses to waive to go to Detroit. He might consider TB. Maybe. Hamhuis says he signed here because he wants to play here, and he wants to raise his family here. Burrows says, "Fine I'm out. I'm tired of the lack of respect I've been getting over the last decade." regards, G.

Nuxfanabroad
criticisms?? Don't like yer hairstyle, & wipe that grin off yer mug! Overall this was a rippin' yarn..decent value & all. If Hamhouse would consider, I could see Pitt bendin over for him. Ham & Kes would get a Helluva return. Pouliot, Sutter, Bennett, Harrington & 2015 1st. Heck we should even toss in a lil' bit of Jannik. They give another piece too. Then Edler to TBay for Connolly, Kucherov & 2.5 weeks of their weather. Burrows to NYR for a middling player, + a 2nd rounder(eat 1 mill of his contact/per yr-we OWE the guy!, & it would enhance return). Watch how the media would inexplicably & spontaneously LOVE him after moving into a key US market..toxic hypocrites! Love all these guys..but move'em to key US markets & they'll get an HONEST shot at Lord Stanley's Mug(sans the League sanctioned-muggings). Burrows numbers are inflated from playing with the twins. Anson Carter looked all world when he played with the twins and he came back down to eart after he left the canucks. Me_
The value is actually pretty fair for most of these. I wouldn't trade Hammer, though. Don't you get it? It's all about tanking on purpose. Because hey; that's how you build a championship. Look at Edmonton. Perfect example of success. Their young guns are high performing winners who bring their team President's trophies year after year. (And to think those idiots will eventually have access to the red buttons of the world) F-ing nihilists...
katzenjammer
Not factoring in NTC's or inter divisional trade issues, I'd think that Edmonton would be a good fit for Edler, this years first and second coming back seems equitable for a D-man of his calibre, not with standing his off year. As for Kesler, Toronto seems like a better fit to me than Anahiem, they'd value him as a first line centre and a return of Gauthier and a 1st ? thad
Not bad actually.. Couple criticisms. I think hamhuis probably retires here and probably the last dman we'd ever trade unless an offer blows us away. They'll never give up Couts but flyers fans aren't too high on Schenn, I could see getting him in the deal if hamhuis waives. I don't like retaining keslers salary, he's already a bargain and we're not getting a top notch youngster in the trade. If their best young player was in the trade I would but not for palmeiri. Also don't think the pick should be conditional for the same reasons. Doubt you get tinordi for burrows either, especially after burrs major drop in points regardless of the injury. I could see Montreal being interested in him though. He'd be a great addition to them, I just don't think he's worth one of their most promising youngsters. Wiznac
Not sure about the Kesler deal would rather have etem and ottawas pick. I like the edler deal but would have to be a 2nd going to them with edler for mantha. IF and a big IF hamhuis waived to go to philly then schenn coming back is a fair trade straight up. And burrows for tinordi....???? Nope they wouldn't period. They may have a lot of d depth but none of that size
