deus.ex.makina
Hi, i do think that trading kesler would be a bad idea. nonetheless, i would accept to trade him in a package that could send us back Skinner. so far my proposal : Kesler Edler Booth 1st + prospect (gaunce) to Carolina Skinner Semin + insert to Vancouver my top two lines : sedin sedin Burrows skinner santo semin your thoughts? saucypass
Imo I think we should trade Kes and Edler separately to maximize trade value. As nice as Skinner is, I don't think it's worth having Kesler going the other way since it is going to leave a huge hole at 2nd Line C and the PK. Sure Santo can play the PK, but I don't know if he can score at a 2nd line pace throughout an 82 game season. However, I'd do an Edler+Schroeder+ 1st round pick (2016) for Skinner+5th round pick (2014) Sedin-Sedin-Burrows Skinner-Kesler-Kassian Higgins-Santorelli- Hansen Booth-__?__- Sestito Hamhuis-Bieksa Garrison-Tanev Stanton-Corrado/Weber/AHLberts/UFA Lack Markstrom Edit: Changed 2nd Round pick to 1st in 2016, not worth giving up 6th overall this year and not worth missing out the chance on drafting a player in a deep 2015 draft. saucypass
I would do edler Schroeder 2nd for skinner in a heartbeat On second thought, a first would be more likely. As long as they're giving a 5th round pick back our way.
Mr.53
I would do edler Schroeder 2nd for skinner in a heartbeat Actually seems kind of fair to me. Our 2nd is after all the 36th overall. Not like its 50, it's barely out of 1st round. However, ain't no way Edler is going to Carolina after the Eric Staal incident. Their fan base would eat him alive. The pressure on Edler to perform would be huge because 1, the Canes need it, and 2, he has to buy back the fans he already lost from that knee on knee collision. Good luck getting Edler to waive to got there.
MRAY
Kesler and Edler probably wont waive their NTC to go to Carolina, they would probably waive to go to a Cup contending team.
Ghostsof1915
And why may I ask would Carolina even want to let him go? If anything Carolina would trade Semin.

canucks155
Wasn't Skinner the youngest all star EVER, or something like that. I doubt Carolina trades him. And isn't Carolina going into a rebuild? They don't want scraps for him. Plus, Skinner and Semin would die in the West.
Ghostsof1915
isnt semins contract borderline untradable? Ok buyout candidate then. But the point being why would Carolina trade their leading goal scorer? That would be like us trying to get Johansen from Columbus now.
