Franz Liszt
- This proposal is to get 3 of the top-10 draft choices to grab Dal Colle, Ehlers & Virtanen. - The trades are to employ a re-tool with both our AHL players and some of our NHL players - Three players, Gaunce, Fox & Shinkaruk will be in the AHL, so some current AHLers can be traded - The trades not only keep the main core, but opens up cap space for some other veterans - Trading some immediate future for some not so immediate future is what I'm doing - This is a "One more year, all in" type of proposal ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To BUF: David Booth, Yann Sauvé (RFA) & NYR 2015 5th To VAN: BUF 2014 3rd (61st pick) + BUF 2014 5th (121st pick) Booth + 2015 5th = 3rd Sauvé = 2014 5th - Gives Buffalo an NHL roster player during their re-build - Also gives them some young help on the backend at the AHL level - 2 picks coming Vancouver's way to help the small re-build/re-tool ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To NYI: Chris Tanev (RFA), Jannik Hansen, Joe Cannata (RFA) + VAN 2015 2nd To VAN: NYI 1st (5th pick) + Anders Nilsson (RFA) Tanev, Hansen, 2015 2nd = 1st Cannata = Nilsson - This trade gives the Canucks a high pick to quicken their re-build/re-tool - NYI gets immediate help in Tanev and Hansen, plus two pieces that will help their future - Though NYI won't have a 1st in next year's draft either, they'll have three 2nd round picks in 2015 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To TOR: Nick Jensen, Yannick Weber (RFA), Jordan Schroeder (RFA) & VAN 2014 2nd (36th pick) To VAN: TOR 2014 1st (8th overall) + TOR 2014 5th (128th pick) Jensen, Schroeder, 2nd = 1st Weber = 5th - Toronto has some holes to fill while being a little tight on cap space - Jensen would fit into their top-9 quite nicely while Weber will help the Leafs' lack of RHD - Schroeder will give them NHL ready skill and depth at C, plus Toronto gets a high 2nd round pick ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Canucks Draft picks for 2014: 5th: Michael Dal Colle - C/LW 6th: Nikolaj Ehlers - LW/RW 8th: Jake Virtanen C/RW 50th: Brandon Lemieux - LW 66th: Alex Peters - D 121st: Alexis Pepin - C 126th: Hunter Smith - RW 128th: Hugo Fagerblom - G 156th: Ryan Rehill - D 186th: Kyle Jenkins - D ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ UFA & RFA signings & re-signings Mike Santorelli - 1 year @ $1 million. Zack Kassian - 1 year @ $1.525 million. Paul Stastny - 7 years @ $42 million. $6.000 cap hit Matt Niskanen - 6 years @ $29.2 million. $4.866 cap hit Willie Mitchell - 2 years @ $4.5 million. $2.250 cap hit Sami Salo - 1 year @ $2.25 million. $1.25 million in performance bonuses. $1.000 cap hit Jarome Iginla - 1 year @ $5 million. $3.75 in performance bonuses. $1.250 cap hit $5 million in total bonuses to Iginla and Salo. This is 'one more year for a cup run'. And with younger players ready to come up in 2015 and beyond, its okay with the cap going up and the bonuses counting against the cap for 2015-16 when Dal Colle, Shinkaruk, Virtanen & Ehlers make the NHL. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2014-15 Canucks Roster D. Nuxfanabroad
If TO's gonna deal a 1st, they'd want some decent D. Perhaps they'd consider Corrado instead of Schray? Though I like Corrado. Maybe throw Shray into the Buff deal? NYI deal they'd prob want a gt prospect like Markstrom-don't know if Cannata would do it for them? Risky to have both Mitchell & Salo on D. Injured/poor play this spring for these two. Overall the value seems reasonable.
Nicklas Bo Hunter
Why do you want to trade jensen so bad?

Wiznac
Lost me at Jensen trade and the Toronto trade makes no sense. Switch Tanev with Corrado and maybe add a pick to sweeten it
