J529
Wasn't even aware there was a new version until the upgrade screen popped up. The whole interface and design is just downright awful along with dark colors which make tabs, menus, etc. very difficult to see. A real hassle and run around in trying to try find and change FF colors back to what they were in previous version. Not impressed at all.

I use firefox and I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Mine updated today and I noticed very few changes. I had none of the problems that you are talking about. Mr.DirtyDangles
HUH ? It is the most customizable interface yet ? You can arrange the toolbar content any way you want ? Best one yet !

Xbox
FireFox is awful to start with. The only good thing about it is that it's not Internet Explorer. Yay!! I'm quoted in TS's sig!
J529
HUH ? It is the most customizable interface yet ? You can arrange the toolbar content any way you want ? Best one yet ! Doesn't do anything for me. I did search and see alot of other users are having the same issues regarding the very dark colors for the menu bar, drop down menus, etc. I don't find it user friendly where changing colors are concerned. IE has it's faults but at least you can change the colors without any hassle.
Absent Canuck
I used firefox back in 2009 and soon switched to google chrome. Never went back.
drummer4now
I used firefox back in 2009 and soon switched to google chrome. Never went back. Frack Google and their copying ways... I use FF or Safari depending on what platform I am using. FF runs better on Windows and Safari runs better on Mac IMO. Google chrome is reserved for old computers.. I find Chrome is very buggy and laggy when I try to access University platforms and on-line banking. I always see it on older computers at school though. hockeyville88
I don't like it much either but generally with Internet related stuff it takes a couple days to adjust to the new layout and then you won't even remember what the old one looked like
canuck2xtreme
Tried switching to Chrome, wasn't a fan. Perhaps I needed to give it more time to get accustomed to it, but I went back to Firefox. It's never given me issues. Not a fan of the new tabs, but other than that, meh.
-Vintage Canuck-
Not a fan of it either. I sometimes use Google Chrome but not regularly as I'm more of a Firefox guy. For those wondering, you can use the Classic Theme Restorer add-on to tweak settings as well as change the tabs back. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

About six months later tried it again and gave it a chance to get used to it and been using Chrome ever since. That was a couple years ago. Firefox had its time and at over a decade old now its time is about over. Chrome and IE dominate the market and Firefox is slowly heading towards single digit market share. Chrome is for people who know what they are doing, IE is for those who follow the basic line and dont like change. Firefox is for those who havent switched to Chrome yet. You can argue about what company you hate and internet freedoms and blah blah blah, but if you just want the best browser you get Chrome.

It's just faster and has a cleaner interface.
