Rick Rypien would be 30 today.

How about we all donate some small amount to a 'Canucks cause' in his memory? ..

Maybe get all CDC to donate to one poster/person and have it donated in one.

Not sure how that would work but I would be willing to donate...I would guess the charity that Bieksa fronts for Rick.

Aw damn.

Thanks for the reminder...will take a moment by the river to contemplate how lucky I am that my daughter, who struggles with some of the issues Rick did, reached out to me and is battling hard to overcome them. It's with great sadness that I'm reminded Rick didn't...hope his family is healing and can take comfort in the fact that he was a great man.

If there is a way to funnel all our donations 'as one' to Mindcheck, then does anyone have an 'inside view' on how we could do it?

Bravo to you and your daughter, Deb .. I, too, am dealing with depression amongst my children .. our Government resources are laughable at best, and criminal at worst.

What would he a good way to honour him?

Any ideas?

As others have said, to donate to Mindcheck.ca might be a good one

Of all the deaths the Canucks family have suffered in recent memory - Bourdon, Pyatt's finacee, Demitra, and Rypien - it is Rypien's that is really haunting. The fact that so many people tried to help him but still couldn't, that to me is really sobering.

Rest in peace Ryp.
