Being a day one Canuck fan.....I have a hard time with this mind thought... I hated Torts, so glad this floon is gone ,, but I liked Gillis sometimes ..he did make some decent moves...I hate to see NYR playing so well and making it look like we are a bunch of simps here in VAN...

S0 we hire Trev and no one gives him any time to make his moves...screaminig its all to late...Gawd I get sick of this fan base...

I just have a hard time being a fan sometimes....but hey...I have been for about 35 years.

Since they played in the old Western League for me .. Scotch whiskey, Zen meditation, and a 'bag of sand to pound' all help immensely

I just hate seeing certain fans do things that make us all look bad

I don't want to wait another decade for another finals appearance

I just want to see another superstar on our team

I just don't want to hit the 50th anniversary without a cup

I just want the team to tank for mcdavid

I could agree with a few things here..

1. Join the real world...it happens in Montreal..Boston and anywhere where peeps want their team to win

2.. It could be another decade..its hockey

3. That may happen..buit it all goes in cycles..if everyteam had a pavel bure..it just wouldnt work..and they just dont come along that often.

4. me either

5. I understand this....but I just cant deal...sorry..I dont like tanking

Tank time goes quicker than we think.

3 years tank time . We get 6th overall then realistically top 5 next year and then top 5 after that.

only 2 more years. Sure beats 10 years of making the first and second round and drafting in the late teens and mid twenties.

For that reason I am happy for the Rangers. When is the last time they made the finals or drafted in the top 5 :frantic:

In fact, if the Rangers meet the Hawks in the finals.............it will be the first time in their 80 plus year histories that they will play for the Stanley Cup.

That is incredible.

Same position. But what I always say to myself is that when this team does finally win, it will be the most glorious victory in all of sports. Our level of suffering as fans has been epic.

Some perspective here:

First off, it goes without saying that every team in every sport has no shortage of idiots among their fan base. As a whole, ours is no worse or better than any others—all have fans at both ends of the spectrum.

Secondly, we're also talking about an internet forum; again, no shortage of idiots and no different than other forums, regardless of subject.

Thirdly, as much as we all love our Canucks (for however long we've been cheering for them), it doesn't change the fact that we're talking about a professional hockey team. There's many more important things in life than this.

I also want to see the Canucks win a Cup before I die (and at my age and health status, I have reason to be concerned). But if it doesn't happen, I don't think that's going to be foremost in my mind when I reach my end.

People dont realize how long we as in Vancouver have suffered....lol

Yeah, my first Canucks game was at the "brand new" Pacific Coliseum, it the old Western League not the NHL.

Buckaroos, Totems, Roadrunners, Gulls, Spurs etc. Been a fan for a long long time.

I sincerely hope Trevor gets this ship on the right course and if having to wait a little longer for the right people then so be it.

Andy Bathgate had been a favorite of my Mom's, and Ted Taylor, were the two I remember best

yes,,, and Larry Cahan and even Brit Selby played when I watched back in those days...he went on to be the NHL Rookie of the year
