-Vintage Canuck-
@erlendssonTBO The #tblightning have re-signed Calder Trophy Finalist Tyler Johnson to a 3-year contract; was set to be an RFA in July
Tystick
He was so exciting to watch in the playoffs, great signing for Tampa!
Gstank29
from undrafted to making 3 million a year, not bad at all.

Gstank29
Id be happy if fox was 20 goal 40 point type of player
Canuck Surfer
Johnson is faster than Fox. Different sort of player. Of course we would love that performance level Wonder if Johnson can, sort of, replace St Louis or will cool off without that play maker? edit: Dino Ciccarelli is a (optimistic yes) better model for Fox. Or Dustin Brown? Game style anyway considering his skill set.
DeltaSwede
Don't see any comparison between Fox and Johnson other than that they are both undrafted overagers that signed with NHL clubs. I am keeping my expectations low on Fox for my own good. Johnson has been fantastic for Tampa. They have a tendency to find very solid players. theminister
Reportedly 3 years/ $10 mil, $3.3 per season. That's a lot of cash. I expect that pushes Palat'a new deal a little north of that money. If this is the kind of money they are going to be spending on their top RFAs then once they address their D there won't be much money left. There might he a good likelihood they trim some RFAs or trade a more established forward in addition to buying out Malone.
