Gyllenhaal
I like the first trade. Second trade isn't worth it, I would rather trade Kesler and Edler separately to maximize our returns.
CanuckFanForever1123
If we do in fact trade both Kesler and Edler, and come out with only 1 prospect and no draft picks, I'm gonna be pretty mad. Sure, Mantha is a great prospect, but not enough for me to be happy about trading both of these players. Not to mention I have no interest in Ritchie, and these moves hurt our defensive future quite a bit, unless those two 2nd round players are defense with awesome potential. Fair enough I just feel like Mantha will be looked at as one of the worst flops by most teams that passed on him. But one prospect for Edler and Kesler does push it a bit, I just think Edler needs to go badly so we can give Garrison the side he's used to back, it's critical. If Franzen at all finds the will to play again our 2nd line looks sick.
Armada
I'll do that trade Detroit trade. I don't see how Detroit would though. Mantha seems like an utter beast. 6 foot 5 winger who had 57 goals in 57 games.
timberz21
That package is not enough for Kesler, let alone + Edler and 2 picks.
Langdon Algur
No way the Isles take the first trade but if they did it would be pretty awesome. Mantha seems like he could be a star but trading a former Selke winner and former all-star for him plus Franzen and a 4th liner like Helm(or in the Op's case doesn't even make the healthy lineup) doesn't seem like enough. A 3rd line with two rookies on it seems pretty risky too.Like the idea of signing Statsny though, with Mackinnon, Duchene and O'Reily there doesn't seem to be room for him in Colorado but I imagine there will be a bidding war. Phil_314
Yeah I'd want to trade them separately. Franzen, Smith and 2nd for Edler and Schroeder if they'd take that. With how the Winged Wheel favors talented, smaller guys I think they can make it work with Schroeder, and if they want Edler I'd be happy to take on Franzen's depreciating contract and Smith, who looks to be hitting his stride. Kesler for top prospects and young roster players elsewhere.
elvis15
I don't see how either team does either deal. Vancouver would do the first, but I don't think they'd do the second. Helm's a good player when he's healthy, but all his back issues are a lot of risk. Franzen's not getting any younger either and why we'd trade for someone like him during a retool I don't know. The Magician
They wouldn't do the first trade and there's not a chance that Darren Helm is out of the lineup if he's healthy.
canucks155
I think we could get better value trading them separately.
