A Los Angeles Kings fan has filed a police report against Corey Crawford, alleging the Chicago goalie squirted him in the face with his water bottle at the end of Game 4 of the Western Conference Final at Staples Center, TMZ reports.

The details:

27-year-old Kings fan Clark Wong filed a battery report Monday night claiming he was sprayed by the hockey player at Staples Center.

TMZ Sports spoke with Wong who says he was sitting behind the Blackhawks bench and was heckling Crawford when the goalie was pulled from the game toward the end of the 3rd period.

Thats when Crawford whos in the middle of a 6-year, $36 million contract allegedly whipped out a water bottle and blasted him right in the face.

Wong says he believes the bottle was filled with backwash along with water and it has caused serious irritation to his eyes. Wong says hes going to a doctor to get his eyes checked.

League sources tell TMZ Sports Wong was ejected from the game 3 to 5 minutes after the spraying incident for taunting the players and it was while he was being escorted out of the arena that he began to rub his eyes, complaining about the pain.

The TMZ report goes on to say that Crawford filed a police report following the game a 5-2 loss, which gave the Kings a 3-1 series lead before leaving the arena.

PHT has reached out to the NHL for comment on the situation; well update the post when any new details become available.

'Murica.

The guy is acting like he got corrosive acid sprayed on him. Love the part where it says he got "blasted by the water bottle" like it was some crazy high speed pressure washer. lel

Well, Crawford shouldn't of done that to a fan. Your a pro playing in an opposing teams arena, you are to expect the heckling. What Crawford did is not allowed and now he's facing a lawsuit.

Where did it say he was facing a lawsuit? Its just a police report, heck, a noise complaint gets a police report, doesn't mean anything will happen.

Too bad the parents of this kid aren't Americans and this didn't happen on American soil:

Even I would sue Dorsett for doing that to a kid.

I'm pretty sure he was giving him a "good job buddy" tap in the bum.

He even stopped to make sure the kid got up and was okay.

It was also Zuccarello, not Dorsett.

Oh the snow shower. Ahahaha, okay yeah that's gutless.

That's a false article, the LAPD confirmed Crawford is not being investigated.

Not being investigated doesn't mean not being sued - which is what the TMZ story was about. He can file a police report, but the LAPD can just laugh and not bother investigating.

I doubt there's any legs to this or that it actually gets before a judge though.

EDIT: I remember when I read it at first it had something about suing Crawford as well as filing the police report. Even still, like I said above Wong can file the report but it doesn't mean the LAPD have to investigate if they find it baseless.

The judge will throw it out.

America may be letigious, but it gets balanced out with a healthy dose of contempt for the weak.

I can't think of anything weaker than getting butt hurt by being sprayed with water.

Thank you for posting a little common sense.

All of the people making fun of "Merica" for something that's not even true might want to look in the mirror...

Not our fault for believing an idiot down in the states would make a libellous statement and sue somebody for it, those idiots sue for something new every day it's a quite believable story
