Rick Grimes
I just saw the hit.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0opMbQMZo8 Still NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH. Bure010
would have been hard for them to give more than they gave Prust, very similar hits

King Heffy
Fair penalty if Prust is the precedent. Hopefully something for Dorsett too.
Monty
Was not going to get more then Prust. Although I personally think hits to the head should be given stiffer penalites, regardless of whether it is playoffs or not, this ruling is at somewhat consistent with previous rulings (ie: Prust). Mr.DirtyDangles
Clear and blatant attempt to injure how is it not at least 5 games ? Targeted the head, came from a blind spot, left his feet. What more evidence do they need ? Prust hit was bad but not this bad.
Otis
if Prust gets two games this should've been one. NHL disciplinary system is such a joke.

Uh...the Prust suspension is the precedent...this year,..for this round. And - there was also an element of direct retribution in this hit that was clearly dis-counted....after these players had been crashing into each other all night long. combover
obviously the way the nhl is handling these plays isn't working since it seems every game theres discussion about suspensions. prust got 2 this should have been 1 since there was no injury, prust should have been given five he broke the guys jaw. regardless if he's "sorry" or didn't mean to. players want to play on the edge then the injury should play a huge part of suspension length. second suspension regardless of infraction should be an automatic ten for all players. learn from your mistakes or go play in russia third automatic 25 games dirty players would be thinned out pretty quick. awalk
Love how PK went straight to Weise and held him up. The Canadians group of players are so supportive of each other and they are are a true hockey team in every sense. Win or lose it's been great to watch these guys, especially guys like PK and Carey Price rallying.
6YPE
So I dont get how Rome got 4 games for his hit on Horton and this is only 2??... Where is the consistencey? I understand that Rome's was a little later, but its still the same. Do they take in account for how "late" the hit was? Head shots are head shots in my opinion, they should be all treated the same and penalized accordingly.

The suspension to Moore is pretty much exactly what I expected. Very similar hit to the one by Prust. Only a Hab homer would claim that this one was "way worse". But if you're feeling "victimized", bear in mind that the Moore hit was (correctly) penalized during the game with a 5 minute major, while the Prust hit (incorrectly) was given nothing. Think back to how game three went and ask yourself if a 5 minute powerplay for the Rags might have changed the outcome of that game and then ask yourself if the Habs would still be playing, had the correct call been made on the ice... More rules isn't the answer! Hockey is a unique game, you can't control it the way you would Football or Basketball. Less is more with Hockey, the players need to have to power to keep each other in check, LESS rules is the answer, FEWER suspensions and league interference. The over-legislation of Hockey is ruining the game. There is a time tested method of player control that has been proven to work, and if you don't believe me ask Bobby Orr. Let the players deal with dirty plays, you will actually see less fighting, less dirty hits, less injuries and more respect if the NHL does one thing.... #endtheinstagator

What more evidence do they need ? Prust hit was bad but not this bad. plus you could add that it was a targeted hit considering how these guys were after each other all game. I still can't understand the Rome suspension got more fore a much cleaner hit. thought that was supposed to set the bar.

I dont have a problem with the suspension compared to what Prust was given. I have a problem with the suspension Rome was given and how the league has changed how they are handing out penalties. One could say that suspension could have been the difference of a cup win or not for the Canucks. The league really needs to get some kind of consitiency here so everyone knows exactly what the rules are, and what the punishment is.
