Did AV get a groomed Tortorella Team?

Recommended Posts

My past posts say what I think of Torts. I clearly wasn't a fan. But did AV inherit Players who understood Torts' style, and in turn, inherit Torts' team? Or did AV finally learn from past playoff failures?

Either way good luck to AV in the finals

i think he definitely got the better end of the deal, the rangers were obviously used to blocking all sort of shots during torts time....the canucks on the other hand....they were starting to become a mess when AV left....

not gonna say its not all him, we'll see how he does against old coach rivals in sutter or quenville

I always believe that players inherit some skill from a previous coach. I think the Rangers learned a sound defensive structure with Torts, and even when playing a different style under AV, maintained this ability.

That was all AV.

Torts is out of a job and probably in a mental house.

Congratulations AV. I'm stepping off the habs bandwagon and on to the Rangers.

can't believe I'm saying this but Go rangers go !

Brad Richards is showing up because their were talks of a buyout or trade so he finally started to play like the player NYR shelled out the dough for

I disagree. Look at all the Canucks players who had career bad years under Torts. That idiot wanted to buy out Burrows too

take a look at all the Canucks trending downwards after the Cup final this crap was happening long before Torts got here and people need to get that through their narrow minded heads he got tossed into a horrible situation caused by Gillis and AV end of story
