Bure to Mogilny
[ Stop living in the past. Kesler's value has lower considerably, since his Selke days. Still he is one of the hottest comoditys avalable right now and a lot of teams would of bin more sucessful if they had him in the playoffs so i think we will do just fine with the return
Nuxfanabroad
Dyu prefer Etem to Theodore? I can see why (more advanced, we do need another RW). But we can also add a RW in the draft at 6 and 10, and there is no PMD of note. I would hate to let the opportunity to trade Kesler slip without adding a premium PMD prospect. Its a bigger need than RW IMO and there is alternate opportunities to fill that hole. Take both. Etem, Theodore & #10. To sweeten the pot, eat 1 mill of RK's cap, or even add a 3rd rounder. THREE good pieces should wrap this up. Also with Lindholm, Fowler & Vatanen, surely they can be magnanimous in gesture.

Drive that price up for us buddy . I'm more excited than a 7 year old boy on christmas morning right now! I hope to God we get Reinhart and some more wonderful additions to this team in the near future!

asian player
Friedman on Ryan Kesler: "Ducks willing to pay more now than they were at trade deadline." Interesting. Would you guys prefer Haydn Fleury or Derrik Pouliot? A deal with Anaheim will almost certainly involve a 10th so we could take Fleury with it. Any deal with Pittsburgh SHOULD involve Pouliot. Otherwise, there really aren't any high end prospects coming our way, especially with that late 1st rounder. So, the offers from the 2 teams are pretty much Fleury + sweets and Pouliot + sweets. Anyways, I'm curious to see how the bidding war goes. If Anaheim raises their offer, Pittsburgh should raise their offer as well since Kesler is exactly what they're missing. Pittsburgh doesn't need a Spezza or Thornton. They need a 2-way competitor on a good contract

If we trade Tanev, 6th, Hansen for the 1st OA we need a d-man coming back from the Kesler deal (Theodore/Fleury/Pouliot/Mattaa/Vatanen) ++. This would be a sweet return. -Vintage Canuck-
Since the Ducks are willing to pay more now than they were at the trade deadline, I wonder if the Penguins are willing to do the same thing after getting beaten by the Rangers in the second round. Possibly, but the Ducks have a lot better younger players and 10th overall. Pitt would have to give up Mattaa+ if they really want Kes. Anaheim still is the best trading partner and I think we get the best return out of them.

I think the Pens would be more willing to part with Pouliot now. Hopefully they realize that you need a solid group of stay at home D-men to go along with their puck movers. I could see them offering up Sutter, Pouliot, a 1st and 2nd and asking for Stanton as part of the package.

We could potentially have: Shinkaruk - Nylander - Etem Ritchie - Horvat - Kassian Lemieux - Vrana - Jensen Or Reinhart minus Nylander, Etem, Lemieux, and Tanev. Junkyard Dog
Gillis passed up on a significantly better offer from a division rival. Any chance Benning feels the same way? If Benning wants to secure a better future then he should trade with the Ducks. We aren't going to be competing with LA or CHI as good as they are and the Blues and Ducks wanting to get better. Might as well load up with young talent and try to squeak into the playoffs. I wouldn't mind missing it next year since it is a deep draft. Being full of young talent and half decent actually attracts FA's as well. Parise, Suter and Pominville signed with a young up and coming Wild team which had/acquired the likes of Granlund, Coyle, Brodin, Niederreiter and more. This is only my theory though don't take it too seriously.
