î мцšт вяздк чфµ
i still like uruguay mainly because of diego forlan and now that "bitegate" has happened hopefully i'll get to see more of him in this tourney.
Xbox
Germany in the final 16!!! Even though it was going to happen. Not quite sure how that works, but if US made it to the final 16 then congrats to the states. No bitterness since Germany won the game today Extra happy Italy is out and not making it! Yeah the goal differential heavily favored Germany. USA has a solid advantage too since Portugal was the team that won and not Ghana.
RUPERTKBD
I was hoping that Ghana would somehow pull off a win, but I'm content with the result. Portugal and Italy both gone and Holland advancing... ...I'm also really liking how the knockout stage is looking.

I'm guessing you'll get to see him once more. Of the South American sides, Colombia has looked every bit as good as Brazil and better than Chile and Argentina, IMHO. Add to that the fact that Suarez won't be there and it tells me that Uruguay are probably going home after the next match.

It's sad to see how much he's declined over the last couple of years. Playing somewhere in Japan. He will NOT be playing striker for Uruguay at age 39. My guess is he won't be playing anywhere within the next year or two. Besides, Uruguay has depth up front with Suarez and Cavani. Hernandez would be their third forward. GLASSJAW
Forlan is a weird player, did any of you guys watch him with Manchester United? He was absolutely terrible, but then moved to Spain and had a handful of really impressive seasons. Then Italy and Brazil, where he only scored 12 goals across 3 years. Very inconsistent player, I guess he was born to play in Spain or something.
Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
first of all he's 35, secondly, you make it sound like he's a scrub. He can be 35 or 30 or 40, it doesn't matter. Compared to four years ago, Diego Forlan IS a scrub. Secondly... how many strikers are still good at age 35? You got Di Natale (anomaly), maybe Drogba (who is washed up), and maybe Henry (WASHED UP). Edit: Italian strikers tend to have longevity. Totti. Del Piero. Inzaghi. Di Natale. Klose is playing in Serie A too.

Dragonfruits
at least FIFA doesn't screw around when it comes to suspension and fines... a certain league in north america *cough* NHL *cough* should take note. 7 games for his first incident 10 games for his 2nd incident 9 games for his 3rd incident feel free to try to justify how this happens he should of been banned for years like someone else said in this thread because he is a star they won't do that seems like they follow the same NHL rules of protecting their stars

He got a 4 month complete suspension from all soccer related activities and a 9 game international suspension that's going to last for a lot longer. He's going to miss the Copa America Cup next year, that's huge.

Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
I'm liking the effort and aggression from Korea so far. The red card definitely helps us out a lot. I'm still surprised with the booking, though. Korea has been making some really hard tackles, including two-foot slides or even bear hugs. Most of them are bad tackles and yet the ref hasn't called a single caution on our guys for that. Hong got a yellow for pushing another guy, but that's it. Brad Marchand
What are you babbling on about? He got a 4 month complete suspension from all soccer related activities and a 9 game international suspension that could last for a lot longer. He's going to miss the Copa America Cup next year, that's huge. To add to your point, the 4 month ban apparently would result in 9 missed EPL games so it's really an 18 game suspension. In short, he's getting punished in more ways than one.
