I'm with you on all of those. I became a big fan of Chile as soon as Holland beat them.

Actually, the only thing that I would have added to your post is:

Italy :P

And here I was cheering for Netherlands...

That's ok, success does bring haters after all ;)

another day, another suarez video

anyway, kinda wanted Brazil to be out. Can't believe how easy their route to the world cup is. unless we are meant to believe, as Scolari said, that Chile is a legitimate threat to any half decent squad. im not buying it.

I too would love to see Brazil knocked out, (and I think it will happen against Colombia, unless they play better than they did today) but I don't agree they have the easy path.

As a Dutch supporter, I'm ecstatic that they're on the opposite side of the draw as Brazil, Colombia, Germany and France...

James Rodriquez and his agent should be extremely happy. He should get a record transfer offer from a top Spanish club.

Could you imagine him with Messi and Neymar? Or feeding passes to Ronaldo in Real Madrid and potentially Falcao his Columbian countryman?

He has clearly proven he is on the same level as Neymar as the two best young players in world football.

The pressure on Brazil is immense. I would be surprised if they managed to beat Columbia next week.

Brazil is playing tight and afraid to make a mistake and playing not to lose instead of win. They seem more relived than happy when they won today.

They are just barely surviving while Columbia is playing loose and free and are having tons of fun right now.

They are playing just as good as anyone left right now and have the best player in the World Cup so far in James Rodriquez.

what has Neymar done to be considered the best young player in the world?

maybe better than a lot of U21 players, but I can think of plenty of players under 25 I'd want on my squad before Neymar. Isn't he sorta crap for Barcelona? hasn't impressed in the WC, either.

He has performed better for his national team than his first season in Barcelona.

I don't know if Gareth Bale can be considered a young player, but he could've become a BIG name at the World Cup.

I remember James Rodriguez well from his time in Porto. He's having a far more successful tournament then his former teammate Hulk, lol. Imagine if Falcao was healthy right now.

The incredible Hulk was pretty impressive in the match versus Chile. That goal he scored should've counted.

Wonder if they'll have more cooling breaks when they play in Qatar in 2022? Or will they play exclusively at night?

Im not so sure that WC will even happen there,,lots of talk about underhanded dealings in securing it,,,and no one wants to play there.
