Well, I'd like to say that I wasn't worried, but that would be a lie. Hopefully the Dutch have learned a lesson about not playing until you're down by a goal.

And yes, Robben embellished, but the Mexican did get the boot in. I don't see how the ref could not have made that call.

The Mexicans had one of the best divers in the world on the pitch after that goal in chicarito and he decides to whip a cross in instead of attacking the box and drawing contact. You need to fight fire with fire there. Great comeback for Netherlands though

It was a penalty, no question. What was robben supposed to do? Just stop? Marquez messed up, robben had to go down to prove it

That was a dumb play by Marquez even though Robben did make the best of his leg sticking out.

That's exactly how I saw it as well. (As did the play by play man)

Robben made sure that the ref saw the trip, but Marquez didn't have to stick the foot in. It would have been difficult for AR to do much in that position.

Mexican fans can blame the officiating, but it was a dumb play by Marquez that is to blame.

Agreed it was a penalty. That said, Robben did throw himself out there, which leaves a bad taste.
