i like crow. id be completely fine with the hire. the guy has had some really great experience thats developed him as a head coach, and hes a 200 ft, but offensive coach. thered be some familiarity with a bunch of our vets who had crow as they were rookies.

it worked out for therrien. new crow, new wce (jensen - reinhart - kassian)

Whats wrong with Crawford? he was a good coach here. It wasn't his fault Burke couldn't give him a goaltender (sorry Cloutier lol).

No playoff success. Can't figure out why people want him back. Is it Nostalgia?

Look at the teams he's coached since Vancouver, they weren't very good. It's not as if he's in demand as he hasn't coached for quite awhile in NHL.

If Crawford were to be hired and Torts fired to bring this clown back. Please.

It worked ok in Montreal with Therien

They have 1 good year under Therrien. I don't like his style or how he comes off.

Lets throw John Gibbons in there too and remember how last season went for Jays.

It's pointless for us on this forum to rate who would be a good coach, what evidence do we have have that Stevens or Desjardins would be a better fit than Crawford? What variables can we use to evaluate these guys? There was an interview with Kelly Hrudey on team 1040 today in which he said Darryl Sutter was a horrible coach in SJ, but he clearly has changed his ways and is now considered as good a coach as anyone, with this in mind we can argue that Crawford could possibly bounce back, he's been oaway for awhile to reflect what works and what doesn't, He's had a lot of success in the past with Col and Van. But ultimately the desicion is gonna be made by looking at info we have no access to, the interview and what players have to say about him.

I wouldn't have a problem with him being the coach....in fact,he could be the right choice for where this team is going...Therrien is on his second stint as Habs coach,it's working for them...Crawford used to 'freak out' a bit on players ,refs, coaches, but Im sure he's mellowed out a lot as he's older....Hes also local, and a former Canuck,so he knows the drill..

There you have it. This kind of logic and mindset out there.

Look at all lack of playoff success Crawford had in Vancouver and no success following after in Dallas and LA.
