smokes
The Sedins are basically 2 great play makers who can benefit from playing on separate lines. This allows the younger players to come in and learn from each while giving the opposition something different from what they have seen from Vancouver over the past decade. They care good enough to each carry their own line., Heck Henrik won his trophies by showing he can play without Daniel. Kesler can get the set up man he needs. Everyone can benefit. Burrows - H. Sedin - Jensen D.Sedin - Kesler - Shinkarek The Sedins were most effective on the powerplay anyways, put them back together then,.

smokes
I know it's redundant but then again so are a lot of other topics out there. At least I am working with what we have now instead of imagining a trade scenario.

Quoted
This is one of the more beat to death topics (though usually when they are in a slump). There is no black and white: there are times when splitting them might make sense (spread their D out, get the twins new scenery) but on balance, they perform best when together. Why some people seem to want to make it one or the other in absolute terms never makes sense to me.
smokes
After almost a decade playing on the same line, I am pretty sure the rest of the Western conference have figured out ways to make them less effective. Thus the decline in point production from both players, by separating the players and offering up new plays, the Sedins can have a bit of a resurgence simply because they are not as predictable. Mac Ball Canucks
Hank is fine, its Daniel that no longer belongs anywhere near the TOP 6 in the NHL and is resembling a buyout candidate. We are screwed with that contract on our books for the next 4 years. Absolutely screwed.
smokes
Messier help bring up Naslund, Linden helped bring up the Sedins, putting the Sedins in the same line together doesn't help us toward the future.

Ghostsof1915
And put Daniel where? Kesler won't pass, so that won't help his cycle game. It's not like we have a long list of line mates to try and get him back on track.
ocnucksfan
kesler may not be here and who knows who well get in trades. proposals of our line up are getting out of control. can we atleast wait until after the draft to begin armchairing
nuck nit
Daniel post concussion is not the same player. This effects both players stats. Daniel's mental health along with Hank and Burr's physical injuries made for a tough season. A healthy Burr back with the Twins should really help everyone concerned as Dan's condition requires as much former familiarity as possible. timberz21
I agree, but since Burrows and Jensen are right winger i'd say Shinaruk-Henrik-Burrows(I like Kassian too) Daniel-Kesler-Jensen

Riviera82
Not going to happen, they can read each others mind. I think their telepathy might have been blocked by Dank's concussion.

And of course with Danny not performing, Henricks' stats suffered too. They should be in tip top shape for the start of next year, well rested and fresh. With a new coach too. Fingers crossed that they can regain their form. If not...gulp...that is too scary to contemplate.
D-Money
In the past, they were far better playing together. But going forward, it may be the best option at even strength, because their lack of foot speed can be insulated.
