AllCanucksAllTheTime
First trade: Van/Ana To Ana: Kesler To Van: 10th pick Etem Second trade: Van/Fla To Fla: Edler Cassles/Horvat/Gaunce 10th pick To Van: 1st Overall That way we'll hold the 1st and 6th picks = Reinhart & Virtanen Anaheim gets their 2nd line C behind Getzlaf without giving up a roster player and still has a pick in the first round. Florida gets a top 2 d-man and they can either draft available talent at 10th (Nylander, Kapanen, Perlini) or trade up for Ehlers.
elvis15
I like how Cassels, Horvat and Gaunce all hold the same value. But any prospect you put in, we still overpay.
apollo
I really don't like the idea of trading up but this one isn't bad. then again I wouldn't do it ... Edler is not great dman who had a rough year and his value is as low as it will ever be. I rather trade Garrison or Hamhuis for picks and prospects than eddy

Bure.10
giving up way too much for the 1st pick. Wouldn't do it at all
Ryan Strome
Not sure how Gaunce, elder and 10th are to much. Cdc homerism? Horvat added is to much but I would do gaunce, elder and 10th.
canucklehead44
It would be 6th overall and Bieksa for 1st overall or no deal. Bieksa fits exactly what Florida is looking for and has a NTC. He would likely become captain of the team to boot.

Florida gets a top 2 d-man and they can either draft available talent at 10th (Nylander, Kapanen, Perlini) or trade up for Ehlers. ... take Horvat and Cassels out of the equation and I think Tallon still does the deal ... he gets a Norris consideration type who just happens to have had a bad year, a legitimate no.1 D-man, plus a lock to draft Ehlers with the 10th over all, who he wants anyway and a decent prospect, Gaunce ..... not a bad return for a GM who doesn,t really need another first line centre .....the only issue is whether Edler would waive to go to the sunshine state .... on the other hand Tallon is rumoured to want Garrison back .... why not a package including him instead .....
