TrevorLinden4ever
Having used the best electronic cigarette device that I know of on the market with nicotine liquid, I’ve found that electronic cigarettes have been the perfect smoking cessation tool. The key to my statement though is having a quality device, so if anybody wants to plug a device please do share. I’m particularly interested in knowing about small companies that manufacture vaporizers in Canada or the Vancouver area. There are a ton of cheap models out there that all come from Asia and each time I’ve used them, I would go back to the cigarettes, so finding that quality safe vaporizer is the key to any cessation device. The market is pretty much 95% Asian made, using foul cheap components like plastic, glue, silica, fiberglass etc. So regarding the debate on regulations and sanctioning electronic cigs, the real focus has not been on the quality of the devices themselves but has rather been narrowly focused on the yea or nay aspect of the general use of vaporizing nicotine liquid. I can say, after using an American made vaporizer with quality components and a vaporizing technology that produces clean healthy vapor, the discussion needs to be focused more on the wretched cheap products out there rather than the “sanction or ban it” when it comes to this cessation tool. Before any user plugs their Kanger vaoprizer, let me just say with its silica fiberglass wick, it is a piece of crap IMHO.

goog16
These electronic cigs sound worse than smoking real ones! https://www.sciencenews.org/article/health-risks-e-cigarettes-emerge Cold turkey is the only way to go...once you get by those first few weeks it's easy. viking mama
What is that stuff getting blown around out of an e-cig? It reminds me of what comes out of a fire extinguisher,...or a smoke machine. Still looks smokey. Still smells toxic. But, apparently it's being tolerated better by the public, when used/smoked indoors...unlike regular cigarettes. Any clarification would be appreciated. Toews
There was this video on Dnews that said E-Cigs could be just as hazardous as cigarettes Are you sure that is what was said? Because it couldn't be further from the truth. I am not saying the E-Cig is completely harmless because it isn't but in terms of concentration of toxins it is much less in an E-Cig What is that stuff getting blown around out of an e-cig? Emission from an E-Cig contains a few of the toxins from cigarettes as well as nicotine. But at a much lower concentration than a regular cigarette. Riviera82
I've been using my KangerTech e-cig steady since January and it hasn't let me down at all. I went from 1.5 to 2 packs a day to no cigarettes at all since, it's the best purchase I've ever made and it must've paid for itself 100 times by now with the money I've saved from smokes. I cant speak for all e-cig users but for those of you who say it's as harmful as tobacco products, I would very much beg to differ. I can tell it's a much healthier alternative just by how much better I feel now. I can breathe deep, I dont cough anymore, I can laugh hysterically without going into a coughing fit, I stopped spitting up phlegm, I have way more energy, and I can run again. Basically what it is is steam with nicotine in it, vapors. None or very little of the other poisons in tobacco. I feel like a new man without being a grouchy SOB who's going through cigarette withdrawl. Doesn't get any better than that.

I too have not touched an analog since (I also use a Kanger). I am, however, still concerned with the lack of data on such things as the safety of vaping PG/VG, silica wicks, harmful metals, etc. but at least it's not even close to worrying about 4000+ chemicals with 60-70 known carcinogens. What I love the most about e-cigs is that I can go a loooong time without vaping now, since I've been cutting down the nicotine mg levels, but when I go out with friends and have some drinks from time to time I don't crave a social cigarette anymore, I can just socially vape instead:) Sorry OP, I can't help you on your enquiry. TLindenIsGod
Confused why the anti-smoking crowd would even come in here to post, when this guy wants advice. Get over yourselves seriously. As for your question, if you want a very tasty and good hitting vape you're going to want to look into using a mechanical mod with a rebuildable atomizer. Personally I have used the UD AGI, Fogger V4 and the Kayfun 91% Russian, and all three have great flavour and never any dry hits. As for mechanical mods I use the Kamry K100 and an Atomo V2, both are great with good contacts and I use them with the 18650 sized battery. As for E-liquid you could get into making your own, or look for ones with a higher VG content as not only does it taste better, but it is also a hell of alot smoother. TrevorLinden4ever
Aside from one company that has proprietary vaping technology, the vaping technology for vaping devices is not great. The wick systems using polyester, silica and fiberglass have quite poor vape quality. Cartomizers make me want to puke. RBA SS mesh is too complicated to maintain. The one I use is by Thermovape which is a small scale company that uses surgical grade ceramic and produces nothing but thick vaper. The issue is, because their system is proprietary, it's not widely on market. I use the T1 that I bought on liquidation from a vendor in Florida. They still have them but the AVA lasts only a month before you have to send it in for repairs, which they do for postage costs. The new devices cost $350 but Im really considering it if the atomizer has longer lifespan + they will likely service it once it goes bunk. The Kanger is crap. Strands of fiberglass dislodge from the wick. Throw it away or send it in to Health Canada for inspection.

I know someone who studied the vape before inhalation and did not see any fiberglass at all. Plus, the amount that you would have to get into your lungs in order for any real damage is an insane amount that you just will not get from vaping. You would need to be working with fiberglass for days, possibly longer, without a respirator while millions of particles fly through the air and go into your lungs to develop any kind of problems. If you're fed up with bad wicks, go to the drug store and get some 100% organic cotton balls, and make your own. All of my RBA's I use cotton and get amazing vape off it, just be careful not to fire the coil until you have let the juice soak into the wick or prewet the wick. I'm curious though, what RBA were you using?

Jimayo
Just stop smoking imo. It's all gross An e-cig isn't smoking. It's water vapor laced with nicotine.

TLindenIsGod
I'm sure that lots of the people who ride the non-smoking high horse are addicted to pills, caffeine etc. We all have vices, mine just happens to smell like peaches. Any time somebody finds a thing they like there will always be people who moan about how it effects them, tis' the way of the world now.
GLASSJAW
Yeah, wasn't that on just a few weeks ago? Any of you smoke pipes or cigars instead of cigs? i've smoked a few cigars over the last couple of years, but definitely not with regularity. I'm pretty sure they're actually just as bad (if not worse) as cigarettes. Either way, some of them just have such an amazing taste to them, it's really a nice 'moment of luxury' thing.
