TheRussianRocket.
On TSN 690, Bob McKenzie says the idea of a coach's challenge will be put to a vote by the general managers on Wednesday.@TSNBobMcKenzie: If all goes as planned with NHL Competition Committee (today)/NHL GMs (Wed), Coach's Challenge is likely to be instituted next year, but... @TSNBobMcKenzie: Until Comp Committee and GMs beat this up, nothing is in final form but limited and very specific Coach's Challenge appears to be the plan. @ProHockeyTalk: Report: Coachs challenges likely for 2014-15 http://t.co/vKssOPwMni A change that will revolutionize the game. I'm all in for it as it's only a positive to help but just weird / hasn't sunk in because it doesn't seem like how traditional hockey has been played. Oh well, guess it'll take some time to adjust and get used to.

chrisbanks
i wonder if they will be able to penalize a player after review...ie. player throws his head back from a phantom high stick ,player gets high sticking penalty, coach challenges, refs see in fact no contact was made with a high stick and give the unsportsmanlike penalty.if players could be busted for embellishment after a review players would stop doing it real quick. BananaMash
I love the idea of a coaches challenge. It'll probably be a bit bumpy when they first start using it, but it's something that I see as a definite positive in the long run.

King Heffy
Good idea, although I don't expect the NHL to conduct the reviews with one iota of integrity.

This^^^^ is a great idea...if this were to be, it would keep the players honest.
RUPERTKBD
Goaltender interference not expected to be part of the deal. Typical NHL half-assed approach to solving a problem...
jdatb
I'd say maybe one per game. However, if the challenge is found to be true, then he gets it back and can use it again. If its false, then he has no more for the game.

apollo
Good. I hope they eventually start reviewing penalties and pretty much everything in which devorski Sutherland and ohallaran can fix during a game to ensure canucks don't win nhl refs are corrupt. Hairy Kneel
The ref's aren't going to give up their entitlement to 'manage' games very easily...makes that private phone call to Las Vegas after the game all that more awkward.
