TheVictorianOne
Hey everyone, As some of you may have heard, the Raptors are coming on Oct. 5 at Rogers Arena to play the Kings. I'll be coming over from Victoria for this. Does anybody know if there's a pre-sale code for tickets?
AriGold
Doesn't appear to be any early bird tickets. First come first serve on Saturday.. http://www.ticketmaster.ca/nba-basketball-vs-toronto-raptors-vancouver-british-columbia-10-05-2014/event/11004CB6B2AA1D66?artistid=34323&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=
DarthNinja
I personally just could never, ever, stomach paying a penny for this.

Haha fair enough, I was pretty young when the Grizz left town and didn't pick up basketball until a few years later, and then become a Raps fan. sharnhayre
I will probably attend. I just hate how the game in Montreal gets the Knicks and we get the Kings.. How lame!
HockeyHound93
Wasn't it normally the Phoenix Suns that would come to play here occasionally? Or was that just when Steve Nash played there?
TheVictorianOne
Wasn't it normally the Phoenix Suns that would come to play here occasionally? Or was that just when Steve Nash played there? Yeah, just with Nash. Lakers are probably too big of a team to leave the States.

sharnhayre
They would usually have the Phoenix Suns vs Sonics to showcase Steve Nash. It would be better if it was the Trailblazers and Raptors going at it. But I'm sure the Raptors are doing what the Blue Jays did with their Canada wide tour trying to become Canada's team. Yep, they've been saying that's their goal for a couple years now.

Offensive Threat
Should have the Memphis Grizzlies play just to rub it in. I wont be able to bring myself to go to a NBA game here until we have a home team again. If thats 20 years down the road so be it. If and when Balmer moves the clippers to Seattle Ill go down there for games.

A team like the Bucks/Kings/Cavs will likely be next to move.

From.The.Point
Depending on the price, I might check it out. Wish they had a better team than the SacKings, TrailBlazers would have been awesome. Just hope that when they do play Derozan/Ross actually play.
Offensive Threat
Los Angeles is the second biggest market in the States, no chance the Clippers are moving anywhere. A team like the Bucks/Kings/Cavs will likely be next to move Balmers goal since the Sonics left has been to buy a team and then move them to Seattle. Hes buying a team that isnt tied to its building and therefore can be moved. Yeah he paid a lot for a team if hes going to move it but he has time, a hell of a lot of money and nothing else to do since he retired as Microsofts CEO earlier this year. Either this team or another. Seattle is seen as a the biggest untapped NHL market but there is no talk of a team moving there until there is an arena for them. Any NBA team moving to Seattle would need an arena as well. As I see it Balmer builds a NBA/NHL arena next to Safeco field and the teams will come. He can probably get the State to kick in for most of the cost to build it even. They paid for the Mariners and Seahawks stadiums so why not one for 2 teams. (The current 2% state tax on hotel rooms in King County is to pay off the Bonds sold to pay for the Seahawks stadium)
