Canada Hockey Place
Something different. DAL: Booth, Schroeder VAN: Horcoff, McKenzie Booth (LW) = last year of contract $4.25 cap hit and salary Horcoff © = last year of contract $5.5 cap hit and $3.0 salary Schroeder © drafted 2009, 22nd overall. McKenzie (LW) drafted 2009, 159th overall. Potential late bloomer.
c00kies
I don't know how Dallas feels about Horcoff and his contract, but if they're looking to get rid of it, this could be a good deal for them. What would we do with Horcoff though? He's another top 9 tweener.
timberz21
Dallas is a team that doesn't spend to the cap. So Horcoff's salary is a bonus for them, since his salary is lower than the actual cap hit.And is probably more valuable than Booth on a 3rd line.I'd rather just get a pick for Schroeder at this point

What would we do with Horcoff though? He's another top 9 tweener. I read that they expected a top 6 when they traded for him but he had a slow start and ended up being use more as a defensive specialist. He had a good playoffs which turned a lot of opinions around. Prior to that, a lot of fans were not happy with the trade. Booth would be a better fit if they are looking to get faster/boost offence. Booth needs PP time. He's not getting it here. Horcoff would probably play on he 3rd or 4th line, interchangeable with Richardson. If Kesler is traded... VAN is going to have to make up for it on both ends of the rink.
