Switzer18
Trade #1: Ryan Kesler + 36th Overall (Chicago) -----> Brent Seabrook + 27th overall I believe that Chicago will be a true contender for Kesler's services. Kane and Kesler have played together in two olympics and this would finally solidify that 2nd line center for the Hawks and bring the two friends together. Vancouver gets a top end puck mover still young, and a solid top partner for Eddy. Cons for the Hawks is having to dump a contract to be cap compliant. Trade #2: Garrison + Hansen + 6th overall (Florida) -----> 1st overall (Reinhart) Garrison may be the odd man out on the defensive end, and getting him to waive will be tough. But if Tallon is interested in bringing him back now that the owners are willing to pay, it would be like asking Garry to go back to his second home, so not a crazy ask IMO. Garrison had his best seasons in FLA, plus he would get his old d partner back in Campbell. Hansen is an added piece for depth. Trade #3: Higgins + Gaunce + Tanev + 27th overall (Winnipeg) -----> Evander Kane + 9th overall (Virtanen) Winnipeg gets a solid veteran top 6 winger, solid d-man, and a prospect to send Kane home, they move down in the first round, but do so by improving their depth at a low cost. With the 9th overall Vancouver replaces Gaunce's depth with Jake Virtanen, a center that Linden and Benning are high on, who could easily step into the lineup as early as next season. Signings: Zach Kassian - 2 years/3.5M (bridge type contract) Darren Archibald - 2 years/1.45M (two way) Kyle Quincey - 2 years/4.5M With all of these signings we would have approximately 7 Million of cap space to solve our goaltending conundrum going forward, which has me puzzled as to what to target. If it were up to me, I would bring in a vet to mentor Lack. Or wait until next year and try to bring Schnides home. Any way this proposal is open to suggestions on that. With these moves there would be some patience required, as with youth it takes time, but team average age goes down considerably. And as the Sedins age and move down in the lineup our youth will move up and be good for years to come. ken kaniff
Chicago says no. Seabrook is more valuable than Kesler so we need to add.Garrison doesn't waive his NTC.Really? Jets laugh
