Time Lord
Markstrom and the 6th overall for the guy who was picked 15th overall last year? I know 2013 was a deep draft, but not that deep...

CanucksHockey11
Kesler trade no way.... We don't need young d we need forwards.. My dream package would be Etem,10th overall and Bonino but highly doubt that would ever happen..

Nuxfanabroad
Lots of Van/NYI material on these boards(to blame for some of it, myself). Really think they need vets, or pieces that'll help them climb in 2014/15. Don't think this offer addresses that. Forget the picks. Go with something like Markstrom, Hansen & Tanev for Pulock(+ a bit?)
canuktravella
pulock is gonna be a stud top four d i wanted canucks to grab him last yr not sure if isles would trade him but hopefully hansen and tanev and markstrom for pulock and a 3rd rounder that sounds decent

Yeah, Brodeur really wants to be the backup...oh but wait he'll get one more chance to compete, oh wait never mind, team's not good enough. Rookies also tend to develop greatly on the 4th line... canuktravella
really pear how many defensive prospects score 63 points in whl eat big minutes and are good defensively as well trust me pulock will be better than a 6th pick and markstrom hes just as good as pouliot on winterhawks if he turns out he could be next (keith, doughty, webber) though d men are rare time will tell but if i was van id build out from defense

BurgerKing
really pear how many defensive prospects score 63 points in whl eat big minutes and are good defensively as well trust me pulock will be better than a 6th pick and markstrom hes just as good as pouliot on winterhawks if he turns out he could be next (keith, doughty, webber) though d men are rare time will tell but if i was van id build out from defense I think forwards are much more valuable, Chicago has won both cups with 3 good dmen, the other 3 both times were average at best. Even their goalie was average. Boston's d vs us in 2011 wasn't great either, apart from Chara, noone really that impressive. If you took our top 6 from that year and compare it to theirs, Chara of course is the best of the lot, but i would put 4 or 5 canuck dmen ahead of boston's second best, Seidenberg. Their strength was and is their forward depth and rolling 4 lines. I agree you need to do what ever you can to get that stud number 1, but they are so rare, some years you don't even have one of those guys in the entire draft. Best dman by year 00 Kronwall 01 Seidenberg, Bieksa, Ehrhoff, Zidlicky 02 Keith 03 Weber, Suter 04 Green, Edler 05 Letang, Yandle, Vlasic 06 Erik Johnson, Carle 07 Subban, McDonough 08 Doughty, Pietrangelo, Karlsson 09 Hedman, Ekman-Larssen 10 Fowler 11 Hamilton, Brodin
